Canada	Next batch of K1's waiting for interview in MTL	hello everyone! I have been lurking in this forum for quite long time. I got my date via mail last week ^^ I am still digesting the information. lol My fiance told me NO to harass the DOS too often. He said someone did and their file got low priority to be process. Me being a good girl, I only call once a month since I work, cant call long distance at work and my fiance refused to call. LOL For those who are waiting, don't worry. Once you sent back the P3, you get an interview date in ~60 days. I started my process on Jan 25th 2010, got a RFE (because my fiancee forgot to sent his biometrics forms. lol), P3 on april 28. I sent back the p3 to the consulate 1 month later, because I need to do the DS-forms where there is Internet Explorer and a printer ( <--- workplace) Keep it up those who are waiting! Will be soon! Canada	Anyone brought their kids with them to the interview in Montreal?	Thanks guys, this is reassuring...now we just have to figure out how to keep them busy for all that time! I hope they'll let me bring in some food/milk for them, we'll probably try anyway and if they toss it, they toss it. We were there just yesterday and there were lots of children in there. They do have a drink and snack machine (but snack machine was broken,I was STARVING). Oh, but I wanted to mention that even though strollers and diaper bags arent "allowed". I'm not sure how our experience compares to everyone else - but we were the first in line with an appointment time of 8:00 (K1 visa) On the day that we were there, they seemed to save all of the K1's till the last? so we ended up going in for our interview at around 12? Canada	Adjustment of Status Info?	Is this normal? We went to our K1 interview and were approved. The interviewer kept tax returns and w2's from petitioner and co-sponsor. Now that we're adjusting our status, it's again requesting copies of these same forms. We dont' have them, they do!? Did we mess up not asking for them back? Canada	Green Card Holder in US, expired Canadian Passport	Hey everyone! I am sure this has been done by most through the process, but i've got a few questions. Maybe someone who has done this can help me. I've been researching and it looks like this can pretty easily be done through the mail. So I print and fill out the "Adult SIMPLIFIED RENEWAL Passport Application for Canadians applying in Canada or from the USA" from http://www.ppt.gc.ca/info/ren.aspx Then I need two passport photos to Canada's specifications. A previous passport and finally the fees. Is that all I need? The application, photos, and an old passport? I was reading somewhere and they wanted proof of Canadian citizenship ie. birth certificate. There's no way I am going to mail my original birth certificate. Is there anything else I need to know? Thanks everyone! My first issued Green Card after getting married on a k1 visa expireds April 2013 so i'll be looking for information on what to do next in just a few months. Canada	August Interviews Crew - AOS Journey	Hey everyone! I've been away for the last couple days, busy getting married and all ! It was great, very simple but gosh pretty emotional! It was crazy saying the vows thinking we'd been waiting for this for 9 months!!! I'm really happy! Congratulations!! It feels so good seeing everyone finally celebrating!! So I may have lost my position as an August Interviewer - but ya'll are still still stuck with me as a November Filer! I might as well be counting my blessings... maybe you guys will have this all figured out by the time our time comes! Congrats to you all! I'm so very happy for you! They did cash my check yesterday though so I guess it's soon to come. What about the interview? How come this is not on the timeline? Just biometrics and approval? I understand it's not been over 6 months or 5 months for that matter. Just seems odd that they don't go in order of recieving. Seems sorta unfair that someone who sent they're stuff in; in 2010 and are getting they're notices before we have. I was just starting to wonder if my package had fallen into a crack somewhere. Guess i'll just keep on waiting. Nothing much more to do. I noticed ???????+???????? that you recieved your NOA1 Dec 4th and got your NOA2 March 17. Congrats. Wish I were already in your boat! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Starting to worry! Dec1 NOA1... Not touched since Dec4??	I'm starting to worry our files got lost or something?? We recieved our NOA1 December 1st, and according to the USCIS website, it was last touched Dec4th. I've been looking every day since then for touches or updates but absolutely nothing. I've also been watching Igor's list daily and it seems like people with dates well after ours are recieving they're NOA2's. What's going on!!?? Even the VisaJourney website says the Vermont offices are now up to December 23rd NOA dates. Should I be worried? What should I do?? I've been waiting and waiting, but i'm starting to worry now that people with dates well after mine are recieving the're next notices while I get nothing? Thanks everyone! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Submitted our Package... Got NOA, how do I know when it's been touched?	Hey everyone. We submitted our package and it was received December 1st. We got our NOA, and we signed up on the USCIS website to follow our case status. I see everyone with a detailed "signature" when they post, and people well into the process have "touched, touched touched" listed with the appropriate date. I understand this "touch" is when your file is looked at, handed off, etc... I believe the website has possibly changed? I can't find where to look for updates. Does anyone have any info? On my home page once signing into uscis.gov all I see is circles with titles like "Acceptance, Initial Review, Request for Evidence, Testing and Interview" etc... Below it says "Initial Review" Which is what is highlighted as our step, followed by "On Dec. 1 we recieved this petition and mailed you a notice, etc..." That's it! Does the pentitioner or beneficiary get it in the mail? Or both? Our case was finally touched since December 1st, exactly a week ago. I'm hoping it's in the mail right now. I was worried about the wait time for the examination if I indeed need it done before I could send the forms back in and get our interview date. I just called infact and all I got was a recording saying they couldn't get to my call because of the mass volume of callers. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Packet recieved from Montreal Consulate... checklist? Medical?	Hey everyone, i've got a question for those of you well into your process. We've recieved our NOA2, and the consulate in Montreal now has our information. We got a packet from them, listing forms I need to download, fill out and return, as well as a checklist of material I should have "obtained". This includes the "Medical". I was under the impression that this would be done closer to the interview, after we were given the date. Infact, on additional attached pages they state to let the medical clinic know our interview date when I schedule my examination. So does anyone on here know? Do I need to do this medical BEFORE I send back the forms and checklist?? I want to get this stuff sent in ASAP, so we can go ahead and get our interview date and start a real countdown. They only have ONE physician listed that can do this physical so i'm worried i'll have to wait a while to do it. About to call so we'll see. Thanks everyone! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Co-Sponsor Evidence Required Question ?	To be on the safe side, we're using a co-sponsor with the financial support aspect of our application. We're currently waiting on our packet 4 with our interview date, so we DO see the light at the end of the tunnel! Last stages of double checking, and making sure we have everything we need. What evidence do we need to gather from our co-sponsor? We have: - statement from the co-sponsors bank showing balance and deposits for the last year - statement work stating full time position, salary, hours, etc... - I-134 affidavit of support filled out Do we need anything else? Please if possible, give a list of all documents needed? I've tried searching and can't really find anything specific.\ Do we need her W2's? Do we need to prove the co-sponsors domicile?
