Pay stubs are evidence of income but if the Consular Officer insists on a tax return, only complete returns with W2's and 1099's etc. or tax transcripts will satisfy the request.

If you filed, you can get transcripts. If you haven't filed, you'll need to provide a statement citing the IRS regulation that exempted you from filing.


What if he has an agreement with IRS indicating that he's paying for back taxes same time with new taxes.? Is that fine? And he can show current pay stubs and W2..God bless


Anybody with an agreement to pay back taxes to the IRS, has tax returns filed even if the IRS filed them in behalf of the taxpayer. So transcipts would be available in this case. How much you owe in back taxes is not a concern in the visa process.

Hi ganda,

You're alright. All you need to do is to arrange the papers in order.

1. Present an I.D and appointment letter to the guard
2. Prepare your DS157
3. Prepare your DS156 and DS 156K. Then they will give you a number and tell you to take a seat and wait for your number or else name to be called for finger scanning.
4. Take a seat. Wait for your number . It will appear in the board for pre-screening. There they will ask your birth certificate, CENOMAR, and NBI clearance. Then
5. They will ask your fiancees Affidavit of suppot , W2, etc...
6. They will ask your proof of relationship and then ask you about your fiancee
7. they will tell you to take a seat and wait for your number which will appear in the board for final interview with CO.
8. After the interview the C.O will tell you to take a seat and wait for your name to be called again for more instructions.
9. The moment your name be called they will give your proof evidence back to you and tell you to pay delbros deliver.

That's a good idea. We had to write it quickly because we were tight on time. Adding a GUI and graphically saving to a file would be a good idea. Perhaps also the ability to filter only your fiancee/spouse calls would be nice.

Maybe we should put this on an open source website like Sourceforge.

My husband made a program to get the call detail records for skype calls. This may help you with gathering proof of evidence.

In the attached file is both the program and the source code to build the program. This program is meant to run in a shell, so to use it, do the following:
1. Start-->Run...
2. In the popup window, type "cmd" and hit OK.
3. Go to the folder where you placed the unzipped files (e.g."cd C:\SkypeCDR")
4. Run the SkypeCDR.exe program by typing "SkypeCDR.exe" and hitting ENTER
This will output your call records to the screen. To get them into a text file, use "SkypeCDR.exe > MySkypeCalls.txt" instead.

Chris-lei is right. I doesn't matter whether it is black and white or colored. What is important is that they can see your evidences. I met someone in embassy during my interview and her photos are in short bond paper and it wasn't colored. you will be ok. Have faith. God bless.

Things were not really ok with two of our members in their medical: allecx and gay (dbears). Alex had her medical last Wednesday and got a result that pained not only her heart but also her loved ones and friends. SLEC found something in her X-ray result that needs sputum testing. Her interview is re-scheduled in two months. On the other hand, Gay's 2 kids were found positive in their TB skin test and have undergone X-ray yesterday which result will be known today (as mentioned by ammike in her PMs, I got message from her last night).

I know that we are affected when we heard these news because members here are already like family to us. I myself really felt the pain for them and was not able to withhold my tears when I found out that their deep desire to be with their loved ones soon will be postponed because of this obstacle in their medical. I felt like I was in their shoes. I will have my medical on the 19th and 20th. I do not know what fate awaits me in SLEC. I have lifted everything to God. I tried hard to always look on the positive side, but human as I am, my worries haunt me sometimes. God will see me through and as I always claimed, victory will always be ours in the end.

I encourage everyone to offer your personal prayers for people who didn't get good medical results and for those who will have their medical in the near future. God knows the desires of our hearts and He will give it. May God's grace overflow in each of us.

There are lots of ways we communicate with my hubby. For 2 years upto present we're using VONAGE and it cost 40$ . Since we're using VOIP or voice over IP adress it is lesser. We are using skype too and it cost less too. But the problem is that you can use skype and VOIP if your family have a pc. If you want to you can signed in to your messenger over SMS .

Got my Interview appoinment last May20,08 @ 7:30am but reached USE @ around 5am though it was raining that day I always think positive for my Interview result, nervous though and my hands where shaking even.
@ about 6:30 am the Guard instructed the K1 ladies with 7:30 appoinment to fall in line and present the appoinment letter with a valid ID so we can get in. ( electronic gadgets are not allowed)
and so then i passed through their XRAY pavillion, after instructed to go Immigrant Visa section to wait for my turn.
Ive waited for about an hour before I got my number its 7035 got my lucky # 7 and my fiance is #5 lol so i feel a bit easy. After I got my # ive waited for another hour for the Finger Scanning (biometrics), another 45 minutes wait for the Prescreener; He was very nice I think (SHEMALE) asked me about 6 questions goes like this:

-Who is your Petitioner?
-What is he doin for living?
-How many times you have met in person?
-Why did you decided to go Hongkong and not Philippines?
-Did you meet Mickey and Minnie Mouse??
-Is is very sulit?[/color

[color=#8b0000]As we are talking together He was smiling back at me, at the same time he asked for our recent pictures together so I brought tons of our pictures, in his 3 times visit.
He didnt asked for my emails, phonecalls, chat logs yahoo screen shot and etc. I efforted a lot brought 2 inches thick emails but He said "This is enough, i just need your pictures! Your Fiance sent us 4 inches thick of email so this is enough." ( i was pretty surprised after I saw about 5 inches thick papers we have from the USCIS, Mike didnt tell me about this lol.
He said to wait for while and just sit back and relax.
Ive waited for another hour and surprisingly my # flashed on the screen and go to room # 44.
So as Im waiting for my turn outside I was praying and ask for another assistance.
And now my Final INTERVIEW WITH THE CO.

I greeted him "Goodmorning sir!"
and He was so nice and kind and replied me "Goodmorning Miss Julie!
"Please raise your right hand;Do you solemnly swear that all your answers will be true and never lie to me?- I answered YES SIR.
and he smiled back again and let me sit.
this was our conversation goes.

CO: Okay Mis Julie Who is your petitioner?
ME: My Fiance Mr Mike ___.
CO: How did you met him?
ME: Through CB website for a year now.
CO: When was the first time you met him in person and where?
ME: Sept. 22 2007 at NAIAirport.
CO: Please tell me about your relationship and your doing together everyday?
ME: We always have communication sir, Chat phone calls text messages, although Mike is very
 busy in his work but he always find a time to talk to me and thats the thing why I really love
 him so much. We do have lots of fun while we are together crazy things and we enjoyed each
 others company, we dont feel much tired and bored when we are together. Sir We are far in
Distance for now but in our hearts and Mind we always feel that we are closed.
CO: okay.. okay.. okay I believe you. ( if he doesnt say okay okay I keep continuing to talk about
our relatinship ) lol seems like he is in a hurry.
ME: being quiet for a while and wear my sweet smile
CO: hmmm... Are you married before?
ME: No sir!. Never been married
CO: How old are you now?
ME: 22 years old sir.
CO: When is your Fiances Birthday
ME: May 28, 19__ Sir his birthday is on the nextweek ( with a laugh tone from my Voice)
CO: Ohh wow! okay Miss Julie. (while hes looking and typing something on the Computer)
 Everything is good in your papers and I see no problem YOUR VISA IS APPROVED!!
 Welcome to America!! CONGRATULATIONS!
ME: ohh Thank you so much Sir! This would be my great gift for my Fiance for his Birthday
 nextweek.
CO: Yes be good in America and Congratulations again Miss Julie.


The interview took about 7 minutes only! It was fun and very momentable. The CO was very nice all the time and always smiled at me. As we talked He was looking for our pictures and suddenly looked into my eyes as well, to know if Im sincerly IN LOVE and TRUTH.
It was a very nice day to me and to other friends in that days too- Met Donabel she got approved too.
After the interview and being called my name They gave me a pink slip NO AR i asked the staff if NSO has already verified my papers and said YES! it was forwarded here in USE april 28, took 1 week only. Congratulations!!
and hand me back my picture evidences from mikes 3 times visit.
I was so happy and told the staff for about 5 times "THANK YOU!"
Theyre so nice to me too and smiled me back always, told me to pay the Visa Delivery to the DELBROS paid 400PHP
So after I paid the 400PHP i asked the DELBROS STAFF how long the Visa will be delivered into my place, she said about 5-7 days.
@ exactly 11:30 am I was out in the USE with full of confident and happiness to my heart.
and hurry called my family in Davao and Mike in the U.S to tell the Goodnews and My fiance was so happy for us!.. Soon baby days more to go we will be in each others arms again this time No more Goodbyes and cries.. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!!

Thank You so much to MY VJ FAMILY thanks for giving your very warm support and friendship it so nice and a great pleasure in knowing and meeting you last MAY20 @ MOA BUT IM LOOKING FORWARD TO SEE AND GRAB OUR PICTURES, MY FINACE WANTS TO SEE THEM TOO...

I called the 800 number and payed $18 and got a PIN #, and set up the interview, it was very easy and no waiting on the phone.

Once I got Intreview date, the Embassy sent a email (while I was on phone with USEM) to my fiance and to me as well regarding our Interview date.

Hi She,

Yes, he called yesterday, our morning here. Then the one who answered told him that our papers was qualified just the day before yesterday and then the person the USEM asked him if he wants an early appointment for my med and interview then he made an appointment . After they talked he called me and told about my appointment. He was so happy. He kepts on singing. After 30 mins I think, we both got an email from USEM,. It was a letter of appointment confirmation. That's it. Hope it will help you. God bless

Hi we did not wait for the letter. My bana called them this morning and they told him that our papers was qualified just yesterday then they ask my bana when he want me to get an schedule for both. Call them so you will know. You won't know if you won't take action now.. God bless
