Hi Gypsy

Good to hear that all is ok with you and hope that everything now progresses quickly. As for us nothing as
yet but hanging in there and praying everyday we will hear soon. It's been nearly 4mths since our NOA1. I want this wait to be over but so do all of us on here and I wish everyone well. Kathy

Hi All

Tell me if I should be getting worried. I know Vermont is taking longer to process K1 NOA2 than California but I am seeing were some couples are receiving their NOA2 and they submitted their application to Vermont after us. I have been checking if our application has been touched and it was only once on the 17th Jan 2010.
We received our NOA1 on the 13th Jan 2010.

Hope someone could put my mind to rest. Kathy

Hi Terri and Eric so happy that you are finally together and settling into a routine. I can't wait till I can do the same. Still waiting on my NOA2 from Vermont. They have had it now 3mths so hopefully soon.

Hey Gypsy. How exciting another grand child. I have 5 grand children the youngest born on 27th Jan this year. It is going to be so hard leaving them to live in the USA but I feel that this is now my time and with technology today when it wants to work we can still keep in touch.

Great idea about the vacumn bags for taking clothing over. I will look into getting some.

Keep in touch Kathy :)

Hi another Aussie here waiting patiently in South Australia.
We receieved our NOA1 on the 13th Jan 2010 but still waiting on our NOA2 hopefully it won't be too much longer. We filed with the Vermont office and I have seen a few on here that have already received their NOA2 and they submitted their paper after us. I am just praying that no news is good news and there is nothing wrong with our application.

It's good to be hearing from other Aussies so I will keep an eye on this thread.

Hi....I too have no records of my vacinations so I decided to have all the required vacinations by my local General Practitioner. I have completed all what is required and once I get a date for my medical i will get a copy of what I have had and take with me...I have read that you can wait till your medical but I want things to run smoothly and thought if I have them now it will not casue any more delays.

Thanks for the information on this....We received what our RFE was about and the lawyer did not explain that all it was. Was that hubby to be did not tick a box on page 2 of the F129 form. You would think in paying money to a lawyer they would be checking and double checking forms before they are sent in.

Hoping someone can shed some light on this.....

We received a RFE and our Lawyer has contacted us saying it is to do with the Adam Walsh ACT...
She said it is part of a new form USCIS is making people resond to.

Has anyone else had to respond to this and what is it????

Confused

Hi There ..We received a RFE too. The reason was because a box was not ticked..We received it in a few days you will get notification once they receive it back. We are still waiting for our NOA2.

Good luck

Yes, you have to wait. Perhaps you missed something when filing out the form, maybe they need some documentation. You won't know until you get the actual piece of paper.

Sorry, this is not an easy process. We got an RFE too and it was about 2 weeks before we got the paper saying what we had to send in

Good luck

Hi All .. well it's that time now.. to send off our I-751 Removal of Conditions kicking.gif yes.gif
1 Question , do we organize my 2 passport style pictures for the Application and attach them to it,
Or do we do it when they do the Biometrics? blink.gif
Congrats to one and all who's Visa's have come through good.gif kicking.gif
And to those who are still waiting .. believe me the wait is more than worth it heart.gif rose.gif

Paul, when i filed my removal of conditions last year i attached the two passport photos to the application.
When they sent me the letter for biometrics they took my photo at their office, thats a standard thing they do.

Hi guys just wanted to share the good news, got the interview date today from Sydney only 29 days away, i still have to get my police check from London done as i lived there for 17 months in the early 70's and that takes 40 days apparently, eeeeek, it may not arrive in time for the interview, has anyone had this happen with a police certificate? as i was only notified by the Sydney embassy that i have to have one, not much notice given as it was by mail the day before i got the interview letter

Hi folks, just wanting to share my good news with you all.

Flew to Sydney for my CR1 interview on Friday, went fantastic, took just over an hour with all the waiting time, the consulate officer was great. I walked out of there with a big grin on my face and very very happy that all this nearly 13 months of paperwork and being apart from my husband is just about finally finished. So next step is booking airfares for my hubby to come over, get the furniture and stuff and of course my pet parrot over there :D and we will be flying out in June.

Hi everyone

Just thought i would update you on my adventures. I am now in the Durango. CO, wonderful feeling to be with hubby permanetly. Coming through LA PO was so quick and easy, they just checked my brown enevelope. got me to sign papers and that was it, took all of 5 mins.

Some info that may assist anyone.
I used Grace Bros in Adelaide to ship all my furniture and stuff, i highly recommend them they were fantastic, only took 3 weeks to arrive in LA and it will be delivered in 2 weeks to home, very reasonable cost too.
My parrot arrived well and happy, was in quarantine for 1 month, he is home now tho. I used Animal transport in Adelaide to handle him and Jets n Pets(Gary Wingate) in LA who was fantastic.

Thanks for all the info that was shown on this site to make one aware of what was to come. i really appreciated it all and eased alot of stress.

Be well all and take care

StillThePrettiest,

Some of the moving Companies probably will say they have to pack, i think the reason being is due to all the stuff coming through customs and may be easier that way so customs do not unpack it all and do the search thing smile.gif
I would suggest you talk with a moving Company and see what goes.

Hi Folks

This post was supposed to go into the Aussie thread..ummm... duhhhh she must have pressed the wrong thing.

THANK YOU!!! for your replies biggrin.gif

Kath and Jodee thanks for the suggestions, i really appreciate it
and thanks MelindaandTarek for not knowing..lol, but, nice of you to post a reply biggrin.gif
I have been so obessed with this the last week. Phewwwww, i feel i can relax now.
Durango being such an isolated place to get things one feels like one is going nuts when i try to find things.

Tracy that sounds bloody marvellous what you offered, definatly like that idea. kicking.gif
If you could let me know cost etc and how i can pay you....I do have a Paypal acc and can transfer it that way to you.

We solved our DVD issue by buying a large flat screen for the pc and watch our movies that way, so much easier for us as we do not own a TV (we did not want one) so that serves two purposes..for my artwork and movies.

I had every international moving CO in Adelaide out to give me quotes and i found Grace Bros the best for our needs and the cheapest. We had approx 15 CM's...88 boxes of all sizes and some furniture that cost us just over 10 grand. They were very professional and nice to deal with, We recieved it in 5 weeks, no damage to anything. I did bring some electrical items as well and got a power convertor, they are much cheaper here.

Whoo Hooo...
Thanks

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionRequest for more evidence - what else can we send them?
Merp, we had the same thing happen recently with an RFE. and we had a lot of evidence too.
So all we did was send in copies of exactly what we sent prior, chucked in a few Xmas cards from Australia, updated and current copies of our bank account statements and a current electric bill in both names. 7 days later got the 10 year GC in the mail, no updates showed on their website for it.
I personally think they had lost some of our info, so just needed it again.
