Hi Guys...
sounds like you are all having a WONDERFUL TIME... good.gif
and Pat yes scan in that checklist when you get the chance, that would be great...

Guys I cannot CONTAIN myself...
I just bought my wedding dress.....

whoo hooo... check it out..
http://www.davidsbri...ch_query=VW9340
Davids Bridal - style VW9340

I have had my heart set on this dress for months, and just by accident saw someone selling it (my size and all) on EBAY - totally brand new & never worn... (having never purchased anything on ebay) I was a bit wary, so I rang the lady this morning (she is in the USA) chatted with her.... all on the up and up... so paid the money and while I was doing that she already had it boxed up ready to Express it to me (MOnday USA time)... BEST thing is that all up including shipping I am getting it for less than half of what it is for sale for... whooo hooo ... oh and I can now spend what I have saved on dresses for my daughter and soon to be step-daughter... how COOL is that...

Just had to share cause I am so excited (and I think this dress - especially for a second marriage) is not too over the top and not too "weddingish" if you know what I mean... and being that it now looks like we might have an April interview (thereabouts) with a move over in May we will be looking at late May early June wedding - I think this dress will be just perfecto... tell me what you think..

have a GREAT day folks...

hey guys CONGRATULATIONS... that is awesome news... good.gif good.gif

and Pat keep us all TIGHTLY informed about your process and the timeframes that Sydney offer you now for interview dates etc.. and also if you could look at what you received in your packet 3 letter (sheesh scan it and post it in the gallery for us - just blank out your personal info)... PRETTY PLEASE... <grin>

.... just so those of us behind you can make sure we are all up to date on what they (in Sydney) are requiring, and can get a "head start" on everything (I have probably mentioned.... LOL... to death) that doing this process with kiddos means 4 times the amount of forms and paperwork to fill out and make sure I have in order, so all the help in advance that I can get is greatly appreciated...

OH and BTW you do know that the Adelaide doctor dude (miller) actually operates out of SEVERAL locations here don't you... not only in Tynte Street, but also down at Christies and I think Seacombe??.... that was just as an FYI for you if the North Adelaide office is inconvenient.

Re: the Affidavit of Support....
and the fact that you are having joint sponsor.... you are correct the I-134 doesn't specifically have a position for this... it will be more for your AOS after you are married and the I-864 that you then fill out where you will be able to have them do that...

However, in the meantime for your Sydney Interview... and the I-134's...

Have your Fiancee' fill out one..
Have HIS parents fill out another....
Just make sure that you have a covering letter/statement connecting them BOTH with your application, and that all of the required (financials) for the 2 separate folks are there.

It wouldn't hurt (although - may not do or mean anything) for you to also have a copy of any of your own financials, such as bank statements, any cash at your fingertips etc... if they too can be beneficial to your cause.

Simply because in all reality while they say that the I-134 is needed - it actually isn't ... and it isn't the legal and binding "contract" between the USC and the USgovt. like the I-864 is... as the K1 visa is actually a non-immigrant visa ... and with a non-immigrant visa there isn't actually a requirement for showing financial support for your visit... HOWEVER with that being said (LOL... CONFUSING YOU YET <GRIN>) everyone knows that 90% of those entering the USA on a K-1 are actually then going to be getting married and filing their adjustment of status... and becoming immigrants... so they are doing a bit of (pre-prep fishing)...

have a GREAT day (night) sure you are..

The Police Check and fingerprinting is all pretty easy... and you can print off a request form (from ANY state police website). What you are after is a NATIONAL Police Check. With fingerprinting it is about $142-146.... When You go to the police station to get it done...take your passport as well as some other form of photo identification (d/license) and A COPY OF your Birth certificate (and the original for them to sight) LOL - I think we are all getting used to that aren't we?

re: the vaccinations- I went to my local Doctor (with that list) we knocked a couple off after having a blood test... but basically I ended up being a "pin-cushion" for the rest <grin>

have a GREAT day & GOOD luck...

I just found this Aussie thread... HOW COOL...
good.gif YAY for you Sharyna good.gif HOW exciting to be there, and to be with your man....... I AM thrilled for you ... keep us posted on your wedding, it's only in a few weeks now isn't it??
Oh my I wish I was able to be with Steve right now... THIS process just is so horrible... I know it seems like on my time line that we haven't been in for the long haul like some of you, we have - and now that we are placed in this enforced separation due to the process and the distance, it really just is so draining - although I am not telling y'all anything that you don't already know blush.gif My darling Steve is flying over to Australia for 2 weeks over Xmas, arriving here on a couple of days beforehand, in time for my birthday as well, and I CANNOT wait blush.gif CANNOT CANNOT wait... I am going to need a whole box of tissues at the Adelaide airport when I meet him there, I think I will be a blubbering mess..

This will be his first trip to Australia, and finally he will be meeting my children, two of whom are moving over with me when our visa is approved .... and they are already totally "busting" at the chops - first about meeting the man that they talk to regularly and who will be their Step-Dad - "hate" that word "step" though LOL.. ... and secondly about the fact that when we move over there they will be gaining not only him as a Dad, but also a younger brother and sister, and a bunch of other family members...

They are of course, like me, quite nervous as well as excited .... but the most frustrating thing for them, again like me, is the "waiting, waiting, waiting"... one thing for us adults to comprehend the "system" but it is just so difficult for children to have to be involved in that waiting game too ... if you know what I mean.

And not just for my kids either, Steve's kiddos are also just in that same "hold" pattern, waiting for when the "rest of their family" will be arriving... Oh add to it the extra turmoil, that my house sold - LOL... thought it would take a month or two, but it only took 24 hours.... that is good/bad... I managed to delay the settlement to late January "with the hopes" that we would be through this process by then, however it REALLY doesn't look like it.... mad.gif Add to that, the fact that Steve and I put a deposit down on a house in Cleveland while I was over there the other month, and CONVINCED "with difficulty" the current owners to delay our "closing" till late February, "again" hoping that the process would be over, and we would be there.... again DOESN'T really look like it... and HOW on earth can we extend them out any further...
So at this rate... My kids and I will be out of our house - end of January, and will have some huge expenses for mth. to mth. rental accommodation. Steve will be out of his house when it sells and have the same thing...
Sorry... I am ranting a bit... whistling.gif
Anyway that is about it for today...
oh and I forgot to take out my one "gamble" for the year on the Melbourne Cup.. so might have to make a quick trip to the TAB... don't know who is running though, so I am gonna just say "Number 23"... don't know what color it is or even what horse it is LOL... so we will have to just wait and see

have a GREAT day everyone

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWe are APPROVED!!!
good.gif CONGRATULATIONS good.gif
It sends WONDERFUL shivers up my spine when I see other K-1's getting approved... Nobody who is not going through this process would come close to understanding what we are all going through, just to have the opportunity to be able to marry our soul mates... too many people take their relationships for granted...

SO WHHOOOOOOO HOOOOOO for you, and good luck with the next phase..

have a GREAT day (although I am sure you will)

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsK-2 Questions - anyone who has moved over with Children??
Thanks guys... I have been doing further research on this since I posted...

Was looking at the I-485 AOS forms and the instructions for that..
and found this interesting on page one of the instructions...

Who may file this form I-485
blah blah...
B. If the spouse or CHILD is residing abroad, the person adjusting status in the US should file the FORM I-824, application for action on approved application or petition, CONCURRENTLY with the principal's adjustment of status application to allow the derivatives to immigrate to the US without delay, if the principal's adjustment of status is approved.

...
I thought that was really quite interesting, so will definitely bring it up when I go to the Consulate Interview and ask them at the time..

Have a GREAT day
