The Extension letter is the NOA1. ROC is taking 7-9 months or more right now.

WIth the extension letter you can do everything you did with valid GC, so there is nothing to worry about.

i already called uscis and i talk to a IO. it was on tuesday and she told me that it will be sometime in april that i will receive a appointment letter for the fingerprints for 1-751. they received my package on feb 12th of this year. i received my wife's extension letter on feb 16th and was dated feb 13th. also they cash my check on the 13th of feb. she told me that the ASC in philadelphia is behind in their cases.



OK, well Maybe Atlanta is behind as well?! (still concerned about my uncashed check though)

OMG! Just checked my account and they have cashed the check!

I've never been so happy to see money leave my account!!!

You need wait until they cash your check, then they must send your extension letter and a week or two your biometric letter.


I received my extension letter. They still haven't cashed my check. My 30 days is up next week so I'll call them then.

OK, so maybe I won't worry quite as much. I haven't received my bio letter either (my package was received 02.27) BUT they also haven't cashed my check yet.

I just logged on to have a look at the February filers before I call them. I'm still gonna give them a call.

Where is everyone?  Just waiting now I guess.

 

Anyway, I would love to be waiting too, however, I seem to be the one that's fallen through the cracks.

 

I received TWO recipts.  One in February and on in March.  When I called they said that I should ignore the first one.  Apparently it had been "cancelled".  That receipt was dated a month later than the first one!

 

I'm now 30 days at least outside of the March date and still no BIO appt.  Called today and I'm expecting a follow up email or letter by May 15th.

 

I also contacted my Senator today.  Needless to say, not happy ranting33va.gif

Do you have a dependent that was included in your ROC application? Because my daughters ROC is linked to mine, she doesn't get her own NOA, just a letter of inclusion, so she can travel on her expired GC.

My wife's finger printing date was yesterday at 13:00. We went in and gave the attendant our appointment letter and green card. He filled out a form half way and gave us the form to finish the remaining boxes. Just your basic name, address, hair, eye color stuff. My wife was 2nd person in line. They called her in to the back cubicle and took her fingerprints and took a picture also. All together it took 3 minutes from the moment we walked in to the moment we walked out. When I was walking out tears of joy flowed through my eyes because this is the first time, I had an interaction with government office that was done in mere minutes. I was shocked and proud. The attended stamped our appointed letter and gave it back to us. I guess the stamp verifies that we went in and did our finger-printing. Now begins the long #### wait time. I'm not worried. The next few months will fly by because we got a baby on the way, and PS4 is probably going to be released this year. Hellz yeah.

I'm sure it's been stated somewhere on the forum but I HAVE searched and can't find the answer.

We have all the bits together and my signed G-325A and all the bits of evidence etc. are wing their way to the States as we speak but what's the best way to put everything together for sending. Don't want to send a big lump of papers.......

Any help or suggestions would be helpful.

The website gives us something to do together and it makes us feel like we are actually doing something productive! A long time ago we found a website by a couple that was really inspiring and it has since semi-disappeared. My medical is on the 22nd of this month. I am actually pretty optimistic when it comes to the possibility that VSC processing times will drop in the coming months... If there is any relationship to the number of members timelines here to the actual number of submissions, then the amount of work to be done is dropping and they should get caught up soon.

I thought that too - far less filers appearing on the timeline, however, I'm sure we don't represent all filers but it's still nice to think it may move a little quicker.......

Hi SLP, have a look at a few people's timelines from the UK. I received NOA2 on 22nd Sep and received Packet 3 13th Oct. Have to admit that I took ages to send to my packet 3 so if you are on the ball you can send your packet three pretty much as soon as you receive it.

It did take me a while to get my interview date though.

Come on over to the UK section of VJ - you might find that useful. Also maybe do a search specifically in the United Kingdom area of VJ for more info.

Hello Bucknutt76!

I've been here two weeks now and I used Sevenseas Worldwide. I'm in two minds about the experience. but overall I guess it was good.

They provide you with the boxes but you have to pay a £50 deposit. They have a calculator on the website and that is actually the price you pay (unless your box(es) are over weight (as mine were!)). I sent 5 of their book boxes and I that would be approximately £250 (I think). So you can choose a date for the delivery of the boxes. They recommend ordering more just in case which is what I did. I also requested 2 tea chests but decided against using those. As well as getting the boxes they give you packing tape, pens and bubble wrap. The £50 deposit comes off of your bill at the end. Along with the packing things comes all the forms with FULL instructions as to how to complete these.

You then schedule the pick up. I scheduled mine for the day before I left. They were very prompt with delivery and collections (they give you a window of time closer to the date). The driver that collected my boxes was great.

The issues I had were:
I didn't fill something out on the form (the part about employment as I thought it wasn't applicable - turns out it was). So I called and the guy on the phone said to fax back the completed form. We went to Kinko's and for some reason for the fax number didn't work. While I was there I placed another call to sevenseas and got a lovely lady who told me not to fax it to the UK as it would be expensive for me and that I should fax it to the US number since they have a central system. I did this. When I got home I checked my email and i had an email response from a query telling me that I could actually give the details via email. Oh well.

Second issue was that I never received a tracking number even thought I enquired.

I have to say they reply to emails very quickly and appart from one person all the people I dealt with were friendly and efficient.

My boxes were actually sent UPS Saver and the could feasibly have given me a tracking number because I looked it up on the UPS site after I received. But nevermind.

So they picked the boxes up on 3rd August and it looks like they went to UPS on 9/10 August and I received them on 12th August :thumbs: I really wasn't expecting them because the site said they would arrive on 20th August and to allow at least 2 weeks for customs. 2 of the boxes were opened for customs inspection but everything was fine.

My daughter's father is MIA although he knew all about our plans to move and was never agains, however, he wasn't around to sign anything useful for me to give the embassy.

I was asked NO questions about him or for documentations, HOWEVER, I took it upon myself to congact the Court. They confirmed in writing that there is no parental repsonsiblity agreement between us. It costs £60 for them to conduct the search and reply to you. After I received that I complied a Statutory Declaration and signed it before a Notary. That cost me £70. The notary I used was GREAT. She said she could prepare it (would cost extra) for me or I could follow the template which she sent to me. I done it myself. She looked it over and OK'd it. I went to the office and signed the relevant paperwork.

Although I was not asked at the interview for anything at all I feel MUCH much better that I have both the Statutory Declaration and the confirmation from the Court just in case.

If you need to see what the Statutory Declaration looks like I can send you the template and also a copy of the request to the Court and the contact details. I got the confirmation back from the Court in about a week. It was quick.
