Thing went smoothly except one problem..we have to wait a long time. here is how everythign went... My wife was at embassy at 5.50 AM with one person in front of her. They all went inside the consulate at 7.00 am. Now inside , tehy haev different section for immigrant visa and no immigrant visa. She was called initially and wasa returned all the document they took in VFS office a week back, and told to wait. NOw this wait was huge , she wasn't called till around 3.00 in the after noon. She was asked some question She looked at papers and asked 1) what is your marriage date? how long have you been married? 2) when did your husband came from usa for marriage? how many days before marriage? 3) you got married so soon, just few days after came form usa? 4) Where is he right now? ( What a stupid question? ) 5) does he came to india for your interview? Waht she told me is, there were one lady ( for CR1 visa as well) they questioned here for 1 hour than told her to wait and again called her for more questioned for another hour..and eventhan they didn't give her the visa. i guess this kind of stuff delayed her number tobe called upon soon. When she was called , interview was over in 10 min they asked following question 1) what does your husband do? 2) how does he go to wrok? 3) what kind of car he drives? 4) did you see him last time? 5) do you have photos from his last visit? 6) do you have marriage photos? 7) who came from usa to attend your marriage? 8) Did he send any gift, or card from usa? Ans than the magic words...after waiting for about 8 hour inside embassy.. Congratulation , your visa is approved. Just send certified ( in india it also called, true copy, ) in english . i never got my marirage certificate in gujarati, i only got it in english. I send certified copy and they have accepted it. In the interview letter from NVC they showed that i have sent the original marriage certificate.( as said, i sent the certified copy, but nvc think i sent original) When you go to VFS to submit document , they will take your original marriage certificate than. We submited following documents to VFS, -DS230-Copy -Passport- Copy -Marriage Certi- Ori and Copy -Birth Cetificate( Translated in English)- Ori And copy -They also asked us to bring birthcertificate in Gujarati as well to interview( the original one) -Appointment letter( The one that comes with packet 4)- Ori and Copy -Letter from NVC ( The one we get informing interview date and what document we have submited). IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	For CR1 IV packet submitting without PCC	we completed our medical as well. it cost us Rs. 7000 , plus there two more shots to take of some vacassine, HPV and varinova..or osmethign like that. HPV you have to take 3 doses, each Rs. 2800 and should be taken at every two moths, by doing early we will manage 2 shots in indai, and the other vacassine, vari*** ( don't remember the name).. has two shots( 1month apart, 1450 Rs,), so the next one is on Aug 25th.	nyrhythm	Male	India	2009-07-25 09:27:00

Simps, my friend spouse came from baroda few months bach, what they did is, they took the print out of NVC letter( which they will mail. you, that NVC has received your case and send Ds-3032 ) take print out of that email, insetred a page saying that they need police clearace certificate ( copied the stuff from NVC website). They have to do this as Police told they need somethign in wring from NVC. read post from Desidon and Waitingfohoney ...to get PCC from Ahmedabad office. ( i got mine with teh copy of NOA-2 from surat passport office). You can try the same letter to Ahmedabad office and try to get the PCC form their. Also you should change the name in paaport , doing so you won't need the pocal police PCC. Good news finally...case got completed just yesterday July,10...10 days after online login failed......i don'know what those MF>...taking so long for... Anyway i just hope that i can still get august interview date....sometime i jsut wonder...why me? my citizenship case was stuck for 20 months, my I-130 got apoproved after 6 months( still not bad , but could have been sooner).....And now NVC, i really want to get August interview date...not that i want to be with my love, ( we have been married for 19 months , and we are exited to be to gather , but few days won't make difference) , but mainthing may be we can start collage from next fall...want to get further study get started without westing anytime( as we have been year and half behind anyway)....
