Having a balanced mix of ALL of the types of evidence works well, the step-by-step K-1 visa Guide says it best:

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:

Use as many of these items are possible. There is no minimum, but the more you can provide the less likely you are that you will receive an RFE. Additionally, please note that providing proof of your ongoing and genuine relationship in this package may benefit you by allowing the consulate to have access to this information prior to them formally contacting the non US Citizen fiance. Many high risk consulates approach cases with a skeptical eye and providing this information early on in the original I-129F package will help them in their preliminary review of your case.

1. Copies of all airline boarding passes, train passes, itineraries, hotel receipts, passport stamps (make sure you can read the dates on the stamps), and other documentary evidence that you have met within the last two years. You may want to highlight or place post-it notes indicating the dates and locations on the copies (to make the adjudication easier) for the person reviewing your file. 2. Color Photo's of you and your fiance(e) together. Make sure you write your names, date, and location on the back of every photo. Provide two to five photo's. If you only have a single copy of the photo, then make a color copy and send that. If it is a digital photo, have it printed at a local photo store such as Walgreens. Place photo's in a plastic bag or photo sheet and label the sheet. Note that you may not receive originals of photo's back. 3. The following items will not typically show proof of having met in the last two years however will show proof of an ongoing relationship: Copies of land line and cell phone bills, appropriate letters and emails, stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)

I prepared our successful front-loaded petition and followed the Guide pretty closely.

Good luck.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK1 visa, confused about payment and amount

The initial $340 is the I-129F petition fee, paid to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  The next fee is the $240 visa application fee, paid to the U.S. Department of State.

http://travel.state....types_2994.html

That is only the start, more fees later on in the process. The entire process is not for the faint of heart, or light of wallet. cool.png

According to the terms of the K-1 visa you applied for and received, you have 90 days to either marry your petitioner fiancé, or return back to the Phils. To do otherwise will likely jeopardize any of your future US immigration opportunities.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresdo I need another letter of intent to marry

Welcome to the forum.

:guides: (accessible at the top of the forum page). In particular the step-by-step K-1 visa Guide.

From the Guide:

3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

Good luck.

What embassy/consulate will your fiancé(e) be interviewed at? Read some forum threads, some embassy/consulates are tougher than others, use the forum's custom search function for more details on "front-loading."

Here is the section of the K-1 Guide I was referencing:

Documentary Proof of Having Met in Person in the Past Two Years and an Ongoing Relationship:

Welcome to the forum.

guides6ly.gif accessible at the top of the forum page. In particular, the K-1 visa guide. As mentioned in the guide, these types of conversation logs are considered secondary evidence of having met within the previous two years. Make sure that you have a good balanced mix of AS MANY of the types of evidence as you can, avoid concentrating on but one type of evidence.

Unless you are "front-loading your petition," due to a tough interviewing embassy/consulate, you only have prove that you met your fiancé(e) within the previous two years for the initial petition filing. Cannot tell whether you should be concerned with "front-laoding" your visa information is scant.

Good luck.

At the visa petition filing phase of this process, the petitioner is researched and vetted. All that is necessary for the child, at this point, is to include information where indicated on the I-129F petition. More will be required later on at the visa application phase of this process. Save the letters and certs about the child for that part of the process.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresIt's not meant to be rude. Just a general observation.

It's been like that before the www and it applies to all areas online where expertise gathers. There will always be people who are either unwilling or unable to either search existing FAQ's or use the search function. Sometimes the search function is so clueless that there's an excuse but often it's just laziness and the lack of foresight to that there one question has indeed been asked before, many times before.

Oh that and excessive quoting which is my real bug bear.protest6wz.gif

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresUSA state to state visit on k1 visa

Hi! I'm entered guam on a k1 visa, got married on august 24 then sent aos, ead and ap documents oct 8. My I-94 expires on oct 29. According to usps tracking, it hasn't been received yet so i'm just waiting on that. I've read that it's ok to travel to a different us state so long as i have my noa with me. I have booked a flight to atlanta to visit my mom and sister this oct 29. I have a connecting flight in narita, japan. Would that pose a problem with immigration? Also i will be staying in atlanta until dec 10 and i'm worried that it is possible that my biometrics appointment will be scheduled while i'm there. Any suggestions? Is it possible to walk in for biometrics in a state other than your place of residence?
I meant to say I entered Guam
