Then click on "Edit timeline." Scroll down to "visa type." scroll up/down to "K-1," click on it. Go down to the left side at the very bottom of that long page, click on "Submit Changes." After reading a thread here, I realized that I may have made a mistake in my I129F, specifically, the translations I supplied for my fiance's documents were the photocopies, not the originals I got from her.   What I read was that translations should always be the original.   I suspect this would cause an RFE, so is there anyway I could contact USCIS and send the originals while the file is waiting to be adjudicated? Welcome to the forum.   In answer to your thread tittle, "Pre-empting an RFE?" The easiest way to pre-empt an RFE is to initially complete the petition/application properly and completely according to the directions.  You give it your best shot.   There are a couple reports of limited success of supplemental mailing of information, etc. after the initial petition/application filing. The probability of success is somewhat low, given the voluminous amount of paperwork that the USCIS receives each day.   If you think that you are going to get an RFE, wait for the official notice, respond to it thoroughly and promptly. At that point, at least you know that your petition/application is currently being adjudicated. Submission of an RFE response should be directed back to the USCIS adjudicator working on your specific paperwork, not in the warehouse(s) of incoming mail awaiting processing.   Good luck on your immigration journey. Is it needed? Suggest that you READ the instructions.   Also, sorry for asking so many questions lol, but what if we have 2 addresses, well, he (the petitioner) is currently on a lease that his name is on, but in December we will be moving into another apartment (which we already have 100% confirmed). Can we use the new address or should we use the one our name is on the lease? We would eventually need to get an address change. The $240 is for the actual visa paid at the us embassy when schedule for interview   Clarification:   It is $340 for the Form I-129F visa petition fee. It is $240 for the K-1 visa application fee. Agree with ExExPat to be sure to check the respective government website for the current fee schedule.   Be advised that Form I-129F is for Petition for Alien Fiance(e), Form I-129 is for Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker.   Good luck on your visa journey.
