Many folks filing from overseas mail their completed petition packet to a friend or relative in the US. Have the friend of relative insert a check for the filing fee, made out per instructions, and then mails the entire petition packet to the Lewisville, TX lockbox location.   Good luck on your immigration journey. Now, my chest x-ray is valid until 5th Feb 2015 whereas the rest of my medical is valid until 22 Dec 2014. Clearly if I go to the US after 22 Dec 2014 my medical would have expired (not the x-ray report though). Will the expired medical be an issue at POE? Usually the petitioner initially receives an email (if the G1145 was included in the initial petition packet) about petition approval. Then in a couple of weeks (hopefully)  the petitioner should get the petition approval (NOA2) hardcopy. Hi, most of the instructions for the I-129F Say to file it in texas, but the wait time is around 8 months. I discovered that the California service center has a wait time of only 5 months. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	No wedding party	We just scheduled a marriage ceremony appointment with a Seattle municipal court judge four days after my wife and stepson's POE. We applied for the marriage license the day they arrived, there is a 3-day waiting period in WA state. After the ceremony at the Seattle Justice Center, the wedding party consisting of, bride, groom, stepson, and two witnesses went to the Seattle Space Needle restaurant and enjoyed a delightful wedding celebratory dinner. You should likely check-in at the Phil. Regional Forum, and inquire about CENOMAR requirements (not even sure if that is applicable), and/or getting that birth cert. corrected. You should do this soonish. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Question about process after fiancee arrival to US	You have to be married, get the certificate and file it along with your AOS application with USCIS in 90 days.  You can have whatever religious celebration you want any time you want it, but them marriage must take place in the aforementioned time period.   That is not entirely correct.   To properly complete the requirements of the K1 visa, the visa beneficiary does have to get married to the USC visa petitioner within ninety days of their entry into the US (POE). The K1 visa is a one-way, one-time visa that expires as soon as the visa beneficiary completes their US entry. After that the visa beneficiary's immigration status is dependent on the electronic I-94. Technically, there is no requirement as to when to start the AOS process.  After POE arrival, the visa beneficiary should promptly get their SSN, get married and then consider filing their AOS as soon as possible, this is a general forum recommendation.    Good luck on your immigration journey. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I don't see where "proof of ongoing relationship" is required	Is China considered a high fraud country?   Yes, it certainly is.   We front-loaded our initial I-129F petition with as much of the different types of evidence types mentioned in the VJ K1 Guide as we could assemble prior to the petition submission. My then-fiancee and son's visa interview lasted about ten minutes. The CO had certainly previewed the file. There is no specific indicator if the front-loading was successful other then they got their visas, and no issues with evidence.   Good luck on your immigration journey.
