I've only used 4 anytime minutes since the 25th!!! That is just one thing I'm irritated about....but of course, it could be getting close to Auntie's monthly visit so.... Came back home seasoned chicken and Eric and I went back to church for regular 11 service. Whew!!!! We went to my mom's for Easter dinner. Eric made red beans and rice and I grilled the jerk chicken. My mom made pork ribs, steak, field peas, cream corn, dinner rolls, deviled eggs, and cabbage. My lord was I full to the brim. This menu made me so hungry. I could go for some pork ribs right now. Well it must be the day for good news.. Despite the accident, I just met with her adjuster. They gave me my 500.00 deductible and they also gave me a check for pain and suffering and time I may miss from work, and small incidentals (parking fee's, etc.) God is SO good!! So you see, it was never my intention to sue and they compensated me just the same Wait you had an deductible ?? I got the results back from "THE MATH TEST" - Results: Failed I have my study guide with me again today and Im about to call the college and try to get a tutor. Im discouraged but not defeated. I only missed it by 4pts! Aww chica I’m so sorry ta hear dis ((((hugs)))). I think you need to wait a minute before studying. As long as you’re in a slump you won’t be able to retain information. Getting a tutor is good. I hear you about feeling down but not defeated. That is how I’m feeling bout NC. Its like dang I cant get a job for nothing. I know the economy is bad and all but they always have job postings and and I’m applying but I cant even get in the front door for an interview. I have my gorgeous house down there but I cant move until I have a job because I refuse to leave my something for nothing. I’m listening to gospel now trying to keep my spirits lifted and not give up. I know its just the devil trying to block my blessing. I went out to go walking and it started raining so I worked in the garden instead, planted my dasheen and cannad and cleaned out cat boxes. Mexico, Latin & South America	Yardies a home and a farrin, Part 25!	hey dills.. roger loves it.. well except the hours, rather be in bed w/ me , but we make it do what it do in the hours we have LOL..i love the time cuz he can still pick up the kids from school so we don't have to pay for daycare anymore. he likes that he is moving around from aisle to aisle and no strict supervision..he loves to work independently. he says the time goes by quickly cuz there is ALWAYS work to do.. the pay of course vexes him a bit, but luckily i beat it in his head since he got here that even tho he has MADD experience, he would not be making no $15 or 16/hr right away.. i think its a blessing not to be getting minimum wage.. he is seriously considering another job at least till he can afford the ja trip, but we'll see.. im so proud of him that he can send money to the kids..and buy things he wants.. he had some work to do on his car this weekend and he paid for it all.. I'm like, What! I need more info than that! I told him to pretend to be a woman for a minute & tell me what happened from the minute he got there. His story: "I got there & they were talking to another chef so I had to wait a few minute. Jacqueline used to work for P.J. Patterson (former prime minister) and has owned a restaurant in JA for 20 years. Wendy asked me about my references." Then it was like he got exhausted from all the talking & said he'll tell me the rest when I get home. I did get a bit more from him: The restaurant doesn't open until May 15, but they want him to start next week. Shame on him for what he did to you in the past & for the stunt he pulled in CHURCH on resurrection Sunday. Dillon, I hope he does well. That reminds me of something I COMPLETELY forgot to share here! We went to Craigslist last week and the first job we clicked on was for a new cafe opening nearby (within 3 miles of where we live). We read the details and saw that it is a Caribbean cafe. It also required a food handler's permit. So we went about getting the permit, then sent in Steven's resume. Well, he got called back a few days later for an interview and turns out the place isn't just Caribbean, but Jamaican! Once it opens, it will be the nearest Jamaican restaurant to where we live. Anyway, Steven has an interview for the position in 30 minutes. I feel like this is meant to be, for it to be a Jamaican restaurant and the FIRST thing we clicked on. I think God put this in front of us, but even if it doesn't work out, there are over 15 places within a few blocks of where we live that Steven can apply. Took hubby to see the Cherry Blossoms on Saturday and then we went to see Why did I get Married. We went to church on Sunday and then just relax. Funny Story: One of my co-workers came in this morning and told us she has a friend who lives in Oregon and her friend has a slightly retarded son who is 12. Well her friend went to work and left the child home alone and around 11am the boy called his mom and told her to come home because he caught a troll. She told him to put the troll in a cage until she got home and she will see it. The friend figured it was a squirrel or something. Well the friend got home after work and saw all her furniture move and was blocking the closet door. She asked him why all the stuff was there and he told her the troll is in the closet. She moved the stuff and opened the door and a Midget man ran out the door. She gave me a prescription for motrin and flexiril (muscle relaxer) She said don't take too many motrin because after awhile they mess with your stomach. She gave me 180 motrins (2 refills) and 30 flexiril (2 refills) lol She is the bomb!!! I have Flexiril and all they do is put me to sleep. When I wake I'm still in pain.... I'm glad you were able to get your son in orda. Good Morning Everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful Easter. We went to the beach to fly kites... it was 75 degress and HOT! Not much wind but Nana finally got the kites up for us... I got a nice sunburn! MrsTee... Hope you are feeling better! So here is my story for Monday..... Last week insurance company denied my claim... we are staring state investigation. Cashed in my IRA, waiting for the check (praying it comes today) Looked at an apartment, loved it, got it... giving deposit today (still praying that check comes in the mail) Called CU for car loan, waiting for the yes on it today. Went to test drive car I really like Saturday... one thing leads to another, filled out paperwork... again waiting on that check. Just spoke to car insurance company for myself, hoping its not a million $$. So if all comes together, by the end of today I will have a new apartment, new car and car insurance... AND BE BROKE AGAIN! LOL but so happy! Woooo... I am a nervous wreck! I'll be keeping my fingers crossed fi yuh. Even though you'll be broke it sounds like a good broke... Seriously, though I feel what you're saying though...every woman has their own comfortable weight and once its been reached then its time to do something about it...I'm at that point with mines so I feel you.
