Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	I-751 MARCH 2012 FILERS	Something really weird happened today. We received an RFE. However, the petitioner listed is not my wife! We have never heard of this person. The case number, alien number are all correct. But the petitioner/applicant name is not. We contacted USCIS immediately. The person informed us that this situation is not uncommon. He instructed us to mail the RFE back to the service center, as well as a cover letter explaining the typographical error. Hope somebody can answer my question as I am ready and completed all the required supporting documents for the AOS  to be submitted to NVC except for my husban'ds employment letter and paystubs. I don't want RFE's coz it would delay the processing. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	refiling for I-130 at USCIS how long will it take to get approval?	My husband refiled for I-130 at uscis last wednesday May 8, 2013 , how long does it take to get a NOA1 and NOA2 at the NVC? Would it be faster this time since we had a record at the USCIS and NVC before? All replies will be appreciated! Thank you in advance! God bless everyone!   For the I-130 petition, it usually takes about 1-2 weeks to receive the NOA1.  It takes up to 6 months for NOA2.  Some petitions are approved sooner...some later.  IMHO, I do not believe it will be approved faster if you had a previously submitted petition.  Supposedly, USCIS processes in the order they receive them (after background checks).    If you don't mind me asking, what's the reason for refiling?    Hope this helps you some.  Good luck with your journey! Philippines	Question on way old vacc records	I am planning to go set-up an appointment for the medical exam (I-693 or sumthin) in the next week or so, and requirements said something about having vaccination records with me. Now I know I have them back in Manila but I will have that shipped to me first. The records show that my last vaccination was when I was around 11 years old. I'm 27 now. Does it make any easier if I still have my records or should I just go do the full vaccination and assume I don't really have vaccination records? I just want to know if I should wait for my records to be delivered to me or if I could just go ahead and have them do the exam without them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! My wife doesn't have her complete vaccination record, but was not required to take certain immunizations (OPV, HiB, Hep A). She only showed receipts from St. Luke's hospital of the vaccines she was given. The only vaccine she needed to take here in U.S. was TdaP. I'm bring 5 packs of birth control pills brand ALTHEA, I bought it over the counter My question is Is it allowed to bring BC without prescription. You think guys I will have problem at the custom, Please Please share your knowledge and Experience.. My wife brought a couple dozen packs of Nordette oral contraception pills when we moved here from the Philippines. In our case, we didn't have any problems. Philippines	Cooking in the US?	Dinuguan is good with coconut milk and with the real meat. I like it but my husband dont eat it so I never make it. Lol! As for innards, be sure to cut it haft/slice it haft so that you can clean and wash away the mabaho smell inside. Also, you dont want the heart. Same preperation. Innards sliced in half is great. But if you really want to take out all the smell, try alternate washing with vinegar and salt. First, pour some vinegar into the bowl of innards. Work in the vinegar by squeezing the organs with your hands. Drain the vinegar. Then add about 2 Tbs of salt. Work in the salt. Then repeat the vinegar and salt again. You will notice after several cycles, the smell will disappear. The color of the innards (mainly intestines) will start to change white in color. Once you're happy with the smell, or lack or smell, rather...you will need to rinse with water. Rinsing the organs several times with water will take out any residual salt and vinegar. I learned this method from my wife's family. And I was pleasantly surprised their dinuguan and pinapaitan did not have a fecal odor. Hehehe. I will not be in town on December 7 and I get back only on the Dec 9th. I will be in town till November 30th. I have heard people say it is OK to go in early than what it says on the Biometrics Appointment letter. Is it OK to go on November 30th as opposed to December 7? I would rather not postpone it and make the process longer. Also if I can go in earlier, do I have to make an appointment? Please let me know. Thank you. Yes, you can certainly try. Some ASCs allow walk-ins, while others completely prohibit it. No, you do not need an appointment for a walk-in. Your best time to do a walk-in would be in the middle of the week. Mondays and Fridays are usually very busy. And if you do not have an appointment, they usually will turn you down without a second thought. Good luck with whatever you decide! So we're coming up on RC soon, and I'm a little confused about one thing: since filing our K1 via CSC, we've moved into an area covered by a different service center. Should we be filing through our original service center, or the center covering our current geographical area? Apologies in advance if it's covered in a FAQ, I've been reading up but didn't see this question answered. The current state you live in determines to which service center you file. I am planning to send about 30 pictures from various vacation trips, occasions as one of the secondary evidence of on-going relationship. I was wondering if anyone added caption to the picture telling where/when? If so, how? I got the standard from Walgreen off of my digital camera but I could not find a way to add caption. I was thinking maybe hand-write caption on the back of the picture or type it on paper and then stick it on the back of the picture with tape, glue or somethng. When I sent photos for our AOS, we added captions on the back of the photos. Using a black felt pen, we wrote 1) the names of the persons, 2) the location and 3) the month & year. I heard I have to file it three months before the expiration which means I should file on August. Is there an appearance needed? coz I will be flying to California in August. I am from New Jersey. We just realized that we have failed to remove the conditions from my conditional greencard. It has been a couple of years since the deadline passed. We are now hurrying to fill up the forms and submit it along with the necessary documents. Question: 1. Why do you guys include a cover letter with your submission? Is it so that the forms would look more formal and complete? It is a personal preference to include a cover letter with petitions. Some include it for a more organized look. 2. In the cover letter, should we include the reason why we are filing so late? Yes, you definitely need to show good cause for not filing petition on time. 3. What would be the possible consequences since we filed so late? Worst case: deportation I really don't want to get deported. I have been paying my taxes and has been employed properly ever since I got my greencard. I just made the mistake of forgetting about the conditional status. If you have any ideas or thoughts, I would be glad to hear them. Thank you in advance! This was taken from USCIS website: If you fail to properly file Form I-751 within the 90-day period before your second anniversary as a conditional resident: * Your conditional resident status will automatically be terminated and we will begin removal proceedings against you * You will receive a notice from us telling you that you have failed to remove the conditions * You will receive a Notice to Appear at a hearing. At the hearing you may review and rebut the evidence against you. You are responsible for proving that you complied with the requirements (we are not responsible for proving that you did not comply with the requirements) The Form I-751 can be filed after the 90-day period if you can prove in writing to the director of the appropriate Service Center that there was good cause for failing to file the petition on time.
