We can still take this wait	Hi to all,.just want to share how it doesn't bother me at all to wait I mean my husband can get his visa anytime I can still wait longer.....I don't really care if they make us wait longer.. I know some1 who reads this topics..I know who you are...you can laugh all you want..this waiting doesn't bother me at all,.even when you see me down everyday..and put me against my family,.even though they have never given support for me to get through this tough times..I have lost my job once but now I have one, I thought I'd never learn how to drive again but I did, I thought I can never take the bus to work but I manage to I am not embarassed, I thought I won't celebrate Christmas but I did, I thought I'd sleep on New Year but I didn't...I thought I'd just cry over our 1st wedding anniversary but I didn't, I thought I thought I'd never attend a wedding but I did, I thought I'd never smile on my birthday but I did I thought my old friends have forgotten me but they didn't.....you can laugh all you want..because I know god has great plans for me and my husband..we still haven't lost that faith.... America is my home,.I am a fil-am and I know you are bringing me down to give up on this with my husband and go back to the Philippines that is not going to happen..I will never get depressed and kill my self no matter how hard this has been for me...because I have dreamed of heaven in the future...I am very proud to say that we haven't gotten the visa yet..ahhahahahah you can laugh all you want...It doesn't bother me at all..it will come soon anyways..so what...you can push me down,bring me down..do whatever....You can think of plans to make me cry but that won't happen...I am not afraid because the Lord is always with me.. So, get out of my way Satan,..I am not afraid of you..The Lord is my sheperd and he is my strenght, my refuge, my shield.... Philippines	Called USEM about status of Visa..	hi guys.I just want to share to everyone what I'm going through.I am so down, upset, irritated, and nervous..I feel like I am dying and I feel like I have a fever everyday and a huge headache!!!! ..this waiting has been so hard on me: i just want everyone to know that I just called USEM in manila..i told them my husband got an interview march4 and submitted additional documents march18.. they told me they have received the additional documents and if we haven't received anything within one month from them that is when I have to call the USEM..so ridiculous!!! we are under administrative review but we are not on an AP list....is this normal?	edmagenta5	Not Telling	Philippines	2009-03-29 22:31:00

I couldn't take it I had to call the embassy today..I used the account over and over again and it still works, they said we can only use it twice..yah right..I used it 5x already...I'm not buying anymore of those load...... for our case, they said if we haven't gotten anything from them by April 18th, that is when we have to call them...I hope I don't have to call them again after the 18th of april.....hay!!!! Hi I am sorry to hear about what you are going through..we have been going through the same...I just finished my birthday celebration yesterday th still unhappy because every holiday..season..so many great happenings had pass by us..still he is not here with me yet..We are hoping that he will get his visa after the holy week..he had his interview march 4 and passed the additional docus march18th.. and we are still waiting for the visa.... this has been so stressful and so painful..I can't sleep,eat well, can't smile,...can't think well at work...we had been waiting for almost 1month now from his interview date.. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	So many decisions to make and no real answers!	Marriage followed by adjustment of status is definitely an option for you! There was a period of time when it was risky to do this when using VWP, but as far as I know those problems are now resolved. If you entered the country just planning to spend as long as you could (3 months) getting to know your fiance then you did nothing wrong. She's adjusting amazingly well, has made many, many new local filipina friends, is very active in church teaching action Bible songs to 1st thru 5th grade kids, hasn't quite learned to drive yet, has access to much of her favorite native foods at local markets, laughs every night at Wowowee on TFC from DirecTV, was blown away by the sunset from the top of Sears Tower in Chicago on a beautiful clear day, traveled by car to Atlanta to meet my grown kids and saw "mountains" for the first time (it's kinda flat here in western Ohio), been introduced to all of my relatives in Illinois, tried turkey and pumpkin pie, will soon be experiencing Christmas away from home for the first time ever and will be absolutely amazed next month at Disneyworld in Florida, I'm sure. Every day is an amazing gift for her...and me. There's just so much that she has experienced that boggles my mind. I see everything new again when I imagine what she must be thinking...it overwhelms me often...watching her lovingly decorate the fireplace wreath with lights and ornaments last week, the list is endless...I shake my head in amazement and wonder every day....she is an absolute joy. And, there's even bigger news...she's with child now...due July 7...so her world has been upended with a recent round of nausea, but she'll be fine shortly. She's so grateful and thankful for this miracle gift...we've seen the ultrasound already and everything is doing great. To all who have followed in our footsteps, best wishes and happiness to you. My life is changed...her life is a living dream.... God bless all, enjoy the blessed Christmas season and remember to give thanks for our miracles. Philippines	physical, mental & emotional preparations for your USEM interview	I guess the most important thing is not to freak out about something you cannot influence. I'll try to make sure that I have all of my documents together, plenty of proof about our relationship and love, all papers signed and translated if necessary....stuff like that. I'll try to have a positive attitude and be in good spirits,have enough sleep the night before the interview and the MOST important thing: no silly quarrel with him about stupid stuff shortly before the interview! No seriously, there's nothing much we can do except having the necessary paperwork together, calm down, look nice and friendly during the interview, do some meditation and pray beforehand and - take it from there.... To the OP: do not let this animal get away with his crime and godless actions. You can prevent him from going after other innocent women ( or maybe even children) only by reporting him to the police, nothing else will ever stop these kind of monsters. Not only should you seek justice for yourself, but please , also think about the safety of all these other women or children he might attack in the future, if he's out there and free to do whatever he pleases. "Who cares if the Philippines stopped sending workers to Jordan," she said. The bans in Jordan and elsewhere also have not prevented Filipinos from slipping into the countries for work. More than 5,000 Filipinos have defied the ban in Jordan since January, said Julius Torres, the Philippines ambassador to Amman. "The ban made our voice heard, but I know it doesn't solve the problem of employers' maltreatment or abuse," he said. He added that the Philippines and Jordan have negotiated a protocol on work conditions, but that it would not be signed until the Philippines decides on a mechanism for exporting laborers to Middle East countries, which would probably take three or four months. The ban on exporting domestic workers could be dropped once the protocol is in place, Torres said. ‘We're dismayed by the alleged abuses’ Meanwhile, Jordan has changed its labor law to give foreign workers some rights, including compensation for being fired without a valid reason. Labor Ministry Undersecretary Ghazi Shbeikat said the government has ordered prosecutors to actively prosecute abusive employers and is considering expanding police-run shelters for battered women to take in foreigners. "We're dismayed by the alleged abuses," Shbeikat said. "We're doing our best to improve the conditions." Jordanian human rights activist Assem Rababah lauded the improvements to the rules as a step in the right direction, but urged enforcing them rigorously. The new regulations have not dampened the criticism. Amnesty International issued a scathing report in November, saying about 10 foreign workers are believed to commit suicide in Jordan each year. It accused employers of abusing workers and recruitment agencies of routinely beating newly arriving workers to "frighten and discourage them from running away or from making complaints about their employers." But Adnan Fawzi, who owns a private Jordanian recruiting firm, denied employment agencies administer beatings. "We go by the book. It's not us, but some employers who practice modern-day slavery," he said. ‘My tears have all dried up’ Sarah Balabagan, a one-time Filipino maid in the United Arab Emirates, became the subject of international outcry after being sentenced to death in 1994 for killing an employer who she said tried to rape her. Reprieved and back in the Philippines, she says many domestics become utterly despondent after regular beatings in Middle Eastern households. "Some want to end their suffering with death," she said, citing a maid who jumped from a house window in the Middle East last year to escape frequent beatings. The maid broke her leg and is now home, Balabagan said. The teenager said she came to Jordan five months ago to help her poor parents. To comply with a Jordanian law requiring workers to be at least 18, she said she used a fake passport saying she was 28. "I have no tears. My tears have all dried up," she said. "I'm frightened and helpless." This shows That IT MATTERS WHAT COUNTRY U WERe born to it.
