K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VERMONT K-3 No Touches, No APPROVALS week of March 2, 2009. I had hoped with so many approvals coming out this past January that maybe VSC had imporved their procesing times but NO - very disappointing. We have been waiting (as of today) for 259 days since filing our I130 & 199 days since filing our I129F. When we called VSC 2 weeks ago, we were told we can file a service request on April 2 if we dont hear anything from them by that date. Yes, we got an RFE & yes we've seen a few couples come through & get approved on K1 even with an RFE who have a SHORTER timeline from than us. Even with checking Igor's list, numerous couple who filed in June - like us - have been approved as well as couples on K3 after us from July, August & did I see a September approval? I know the process for each may be different but #######...? K3's design was to eliminate lengthy seperations. I dont even want to think about what the extra stress of waiting will do to us if we also have to endure a loooooong AP process to. We have done our fair share of waiting like everyone else but are only becoming increasingly impatient and disappointed. Angel, Call and put in an EXPEDITE request ( not a service request) and use ERROR as your reason due to your file being out of the date range on the USCIS website. Your expedite might not get approved BUT maybe it will draw attention. Put in a request for both petitions. Love the Icons everyone!! I did end up being able to put expedite requests in for both of my petitions yesterday. I used the error reason. Error because my petitions are out of the time frame given on the website. They told me I will hear something within 5 days. And I am sure they will be asking for evidence to back up my claim.. But I am really just hoping to get someone to look at my petitions !! Kind of a fire under someones BUTT type thing. I have the worst luck, so it probably won't work. call again and ask for an expedite. they will take info from you. Listen to the list of reasons and then pick ERROR. I hope something comes through today for all of us. I feel like I am holding up Narina because she is protesting !!! Take a look at the dates on the Immigration Time line Link on the top of this page. The dates are sickening !! So encouraging, huh? wOW, NO GOOD!!! those timelines are for sho make me sick!!! I think I have done the expedite thing for my CR1....b/c outside normal processing times, is that the same thing u are talking about Jenn? but when I called back they said it takes 30-45 days for a reply, how did u get them to agree on a 5 days replay thing? I need to knoooooooow, please!!! and my k3 can't do it b/c its still w/in normal processing,......not!!! it sounds like you only did a service request. Ask for an expedite. You're ready to interview while some of us are stuck in NVC for no reason whatsoever. Why don't you try being more sensitive to the people who've been waiting for their HUSBANDS and WIVES for almost a year now? To say "Vermont is working so fast" is insulting to me and to everyone who is ready to celebrate anniversaries with their SPOUSES and still waiting for a darn approval... Sheesh... WHAT SHE SAID !!!! Amen to that..... I would have paid $5000.00 to have my petition approved in only 4 months. Today is 8 months for us and still no approval. Please go post on a K-1 thread... You will get the info of the person in the senator's office assigned to your case. Not the person at VSC. Is that what you mean? I don't think they're allowed to give out the information of the person who is assigned to your case, as in adjudicator...too dangerous! LOOOL Jen, when I inquired w/ the congressman's office they gave me horsesh1t answer of February 26th and told me my case was not assigned to anyone and it would take 60 days... that same day my case was assigned to someone and I got my approval one week later. So don't believe the 45 day thing. Your approval should be right around the corner. Have you started working on your step-son's petition yet? I asked Tucho to get the birth cert and photos. who knows how long he will take to do that. I know it will help the case but unless someone is there holding a flame under him he could take forever. The ball is in his court. I don't believe the 45 day horseshit . I know they are all full of it. I really was so hopeful to hear something this week. Honestly, How long does it take to work on a box of petitions? If they really wanted to kick out the petitions, they should hire people who went through it. I know I would kick #### at adjudicating. I called 2 days later and they gave me the timeline schpeel. Then I called again and again. they finally just e-mailed me and now I don't even call. I just send him an e-mail and he forwards my request and when he gets an answer, he forwards that to me. Your office must be doing soemthing different. What office are you going threw? I had emailed then on Feb 24th and when I called today asking how come no one responded to my email, the secretary said my e-mail was sent to the Washington office and the office I was calling is the local one in my state. He has inquired for me 4 times so far. He sends them an e-mail and they send one back to him and he just forwards it out to me. This last time I sent him an e-mail on Sunday afternoon around 3pm. When I got the response from the VSC on Monday morning, I saw that he e-mailed them as soon as he got my e-mail on Sunday afternoon. They responded first thing Monday morning. Joe gets back to me ASAP. Its USCIS that takes forever. USCIS told me I would receive a response to my service request within 45 days....If i'm still in process in 45 days there will be some serious hell to pay. Once he's here, then the lawyer can work with him on all the extra paperwork and it will be more comfortable and easy than calling and asking questions, getting info on specific dates, etc back and forth ####### for all the stuff they want. His cell is not working now but he could still go to a public phone GRRRRRRRRR I was talking with a friend of mine who married a guy from Guatemala..( in the US). He was asked to leave the US because 1. he was here illegally 2. he got a DUI ( I think there are more charges but she won't tell me) anyway, she filed an I-130. got an approval. Had an interview here about a year ago ( which I found odd) ok , so she has been through 2 lawyers in the last year and a half... all crappy advice from what I have been hearing.. So today I ask her how the papers are going. she tells me the papers are going to the embassy in Guatemala. He will be getting an interview. they asked for letters from relatives ( affidavits) She is also doing a hardship waiver ( I-601) I feel bad for her because she thinks he is already approved. She has no idea of the process. he gets an interview in Guatemala and they might give him his visa but if she is doing a waiver that may not be the case. Now, if he was asked to leave ( not deported) deosn't he need an I-212 to be admitted back in the country? and isn't a DUI a moral offense? I thought I read somewhere that people have been denied because of DUI's. And his was within the last 3 years. Plus being illegal in the US . I don't believe he even had a visa to begin with. I just feel bad because I know waivers for Costa Rica get processed in Honduras and could take another 8 months. She is thinks he is approved. tsk tsk !!
