I am happy for them but I seriously think they lost my petitions or they moved it to the bottom of the pile AGAIN. Could a background check for Costa Rica take this long? I was thinking how cool it would be if I could take off to CR for a couple weeks without worrying about my job...but I need to be thankful I am working. Iused to shop so much... Now, ha... I have chilled out considerably. I even surprise myself. But I think it is because I gained so much weight . I don't want to buy the bigger size... Kind of like a punishment to myself. I do love shopping in Costa Rica with my husband. When we are in the grocery store we are like a little old couple. We have fun. awww dang it... now I miss him more... good memories. jenn, a few of us at work were just talking today about the ppl who seem to always have a "black cloud" hanging over them. but in the end they seem to have the "little things" that everyone wants; a close,loving family ect The little things are what make me happy. I dont' know whats with me lately. I am craving salad all the time. I think what I really want is a salad from Ruby Tuesday's and all these other salads are cheap immitations... Am I a loser or what????? Can ya tell I have this thing for salads?. Last night I ordered this lame chicken and pasta. William ended up eating his meal, my meal and the appetizer. and two Coors Lights. Big suckers too ! I had water with lemon... GS Dear, I did talk with the Congressman's office today. He e-mailed me the release form. Of course he did it at 3:15 right after I left from work. So now I need to wait until tomorrow to fill it out and fax it back. He said they usually get back to them pretty quick. . What is one more BS day? They are all merging together anyway. Narina, Your Icon pretty much sums up how I have been feeling all week. K-3 Spousal Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	VERMONT K-3 No Touches, No APPROVALS week of March 2, 2009.	I just got off the phone with USCIS. I made sure I was the first bright and shiney voice they heard today... I received an RFE for medical. Same one I received last time when I requested and expedite due to my daughter's condidtion. I called this morning to find out WHY they sent that to me since that was not my reason for the expedite request this time. She checked in the sysytem and she read me the expedite request. It is stated that I requested ERROR. Must have been a computer Glitch from yesterday. She did tell me all the computer systems were down yesterday. That includes VSC. So, that could be the reason we didn't hear anything at all . So do they pack up and go home when the computers are down or do they continue to process the petitions??? Today is HUMP DAY. An approval today would get me over the hump. I sent a huge box to my husband and his family VIA a Costa Rican delivery company. I sent it 2 weeks ago. I was informed that it would arrive today. I had to go and wait in line in Phildelphia for one hour only for them to tell me I had to pay an arm and leg and then come back in an hour. He just doesn't want to be wrong I think. I ended up going out to eat with a friend from Costa Rica. He is now a USC . I say that only because we were chatting about when he became a citizen and how that came to be. He was married to a USC back in 2000-2001. He has only been a citizen for about 2 years. Anyway we had a lttle arguement because he was trying to tell me when you marry a USC you are automatically a USC too. No paperwork he flat out said it is automatic. He said he knew this Columbian guy who played the GC scam on a USC paid her money and told her to go away... Then he went back to Columbia and married his true love and when she came here she became a citizen a month later. I told him I am not sure about alot of things but this I know 100%. You are not automatically a citizen when you get married. I told him you have to file the correct paperwork and wait years before you can naturalize. I can't even believe he was having this arguement wit me since he himself had to wait so long. So, I told him I was coming home and I was going to post on VJ and I would get back to him..... I'll never forget the magic words from the lawyer "K3's process within 4-6 months...in some cases if they request something which is missing, 8 months"...to be honest though? The other lawyer in the same firm told me "The process will probably take a year to a year and a half before your husband is here." Next week will be a year since I met with that attorney. So looks like he's on target. That is, if we don't get put into AP. Our stupid lawyer charged us 1500 extra to put in the K3! We were duped and robbed blind! I don't care though if after all said and done it brings my husband back to me whether it's via K3 or I 130. Just get the man here!! And just like Jen's lawyer, God forbid you ask him qs, OMG it's as if it's the end of the world. He got paid upfront so why should he bother answering any qs?? Even the tax q I raised his answer was my hourly rate is 395 would u like for me to research this further for you?? HELL NOOOOOOOOO, idiot!! at 400/hr I can research it myself thank u very much! I can't believe they make so much per hour!! SO FREAKIN UNFAIR! How are we the poor masses who don't even make 10 times less, supposed to afford paying for their services??? Don't even get me started on lawyers. I could go on and on! And I don't want to hear they worked hard in law school and paid ton of money excuse. God knows how much more good I do with my job and it entails so much stress and I don't get paid nearly enough! The K-3 fee is waived. And the application is basically the same informaton. All the attorney had to do is type a cover letter and mail it out. I only filled out one ONLINE application. My attorney used that for both apps. He told me upfront the K-3 was free to file. I can't believe they charged you an extra $1500. It isn't like you are going to take both paths. You can only take one. Its either or. Hmmm some people DANG !!! I was wondering if requesting an expedite pulls your file out of order when they are processing it... Like I was thinking... maybe I am causing more damage than good by making them pull my file. The dumb broad who put in my request used MEDICAL as a reason so now they are requesting the same ####### they asked for before..... Are these people for real ?? Now I have to call and tell them she used the wrong reason... I think they just want you to be frustrated so you will back down and run away with your tail between your legs... then they can cancel your petition..... Does that mean I may have to wait another 2-3 months ? I wish there was more of a rhyme or reason to this process but as I have found with USCIS in the past (having gone through the green card and citizenship process myself), the best thing to do is to not get too stressed out and to let things happen in due course. Of course this is something you realize when you look back on the process but as you are waiting for an approval each passing day seems like a torture - especially if people behind you in the queue are getting ahead of you every day. -D I was able to put in a service request for the I-130 on the 20th of Feb and two expedite requests the other day. They tell you they can't put them in but they really can. I have confrmation numbers. I was surprised when they offered to help. So whatever I guess. I know nothing will light a fire under the VSC. But at least I am doing something. My husband asked me not to say anything until the approval comes through.. I can't be like that. I need to be doing something. Ok, I am not getting e-mails when new there are new posts so that is why I haven't posted OK, I haven't heard anything on my requests yet BUT the dates they gave you were from the BS line they were dishing out before they updated the website on the 25th. So I would call and talk to the rep and ask them what the CURRENT timeframe is. When they tell you MAY 15th ( or whatever BS story they are telling now) tell her about the response you received and tell her you KNOW this information is incorrect and you want someone to look into it today. Tell her someone made a mistake. Lie if you have to and tell her those aren't even the dates you were told over the phone when you made the request. Ask her if they have started UNProcessing the petitions because the dates are now going backwards.. Now I can't wait to see the BS they throw at me. Angel, Call and put in an EXPEDITE request ( not a service request) and use ERROR as your reason due to your file being out of the date range on the USCIS website. Your expedite might not get approved BUT maybe it will draw attention. Put in a request for both petitions.
