joke of the day;

ok so this girl calls the NVC just for kicks and she gets a live person on the line
so this live person hands a bunch of ####### her way.
The live operators told the girl that the packages take 4-6 weeks to get to the VISA CENTER.
So the girl laughs her A$$ off and askes where the NVC is located. The operator tell her New Hampshire. So the girl starts laughing even more. Vermont to NH. Yea...ok and the operator says " remember it is sent BULK mail" ok, I can send a FED EX letter to my husband and it can get there over night to Costa Rica... by 10am. OK granted thats FED EX but come on..... THe snail mail system ain't that bad.

I thought these people would be a little better to deal with. Do they have to train to know how to dish out BS??? I bet its a 6 week training course. headbonk.gif

Yep, USCIS told me that Vermont does the checking before the approvals. thats good for me. My husband carries a fire arm for his job so I wasn't worried and I think it depends on each country and how fast they can get a response.

It kind of makes sense now too becuz Costa Rica is famous for "waiting in line" for EVERYTHING !!! They take their freakin' time for everything. Very laid back. I'm totally the opposite. I need to know NOW, I need to do things NOW.... blink.gif

I can't believe how this ####### unfolds for everyone.... I don't know where I would be without everybody on VJ. Can you imagine trying to do this without the VJ support????? OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


I hear you!! When it took 8 months for me to get my petitions approved, I was going nuts!! But VJ definitely helped me get through all of those crazy times. You will get there soon. Your petition was approved on Thursday last week, so it may have not been put it in the mail. I had the IV Bill, and the False RFE sent from NVC on the same day. The False RFE was postmarked the 20th, however the IV bill was postmarked the 25th.


It is hard for me to see everyone who was approved the same day as me and a few after me have thier papers received by the NVC and sent to the embassys already.... I'm so tired of dealing with people who have no sense of urgency.

Today is day 269 for I130 & day 209 for I129F, according to a call I placed to uscis around the 21st of Feb I was told it "shouldnt be much longer for a response & we should receive a reply way before uscis deadline of April 1st since our RFE was only a request for the foreign language marriage certificate."

Tomorrow marks 9 months since we filed our I130 ...

Well April 1st is 17 days away - are they really going to wait until the last day to approve us? I mean this is really just becoming really ridiculous.

Call your congressional office and tell them you want a status report on your RFE. And you are past the 6 month time line. Call everyday !!!
Send a Fed-ex package to the USCIS and address it to the supervisor. Include your e-mail address. Also, by pass the congressioanl offices and call the senators offices. You may get some kind of response

Jenn, what happened to your files still not there?


I mean since we were torn b/w CR1 and K3 and hubby wanted to do K3 and I felt CR1 is a superior visa and we were worried to do CR1 so as not to delay the getting the visa post interview. So now AP solved our dilemma b/c we can pursue CR1 and see where that gets us since K3 will be stuck at NVC for a while and we will pursue whichever gets to consulate first. Maybe this is the powers that be way of throwing us on the CR1 destiny path (given that we were so hesitant to follow that route...of course we still worry how long will it be till they issue a CR1 visa after my husb passes his interview but we will cross that bridge once we get there) For now, glad at least something is moving and thankful that both files aren't stuck together cz that would have sucked big time!

OMGGGG I am now starvingggggggggggg...can't delay dinner any longer lol

And Jen, ur turn to explain: What do u need a paralegal for? and who told u to get one? Is this something I am missing b/c I am not on FB??

And I just spoke to the rudest phone rep at NVC and I got nasty back with her and this phone monitor got on the line. They said " WE DO NOT HAVE YOU CASES HERE AT NVC -YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT 90 DAYS"

NOTHING NEW but I haven't called in a few hours.. I was about to go to OLD NAVY but then I got a phone call. Actually, I sent an e-mail out to a few friends asking them to write letters for me regarding my husband and I. I will need them for my waiver. Its amazing how much they want to help. JOKE OF THE DAY !!

The rep at the NVC that took my call right before lunch was a sudderer. He couldn't get his words out.... Not that I am making fun of his problem. I just think phone work probably wasn't the best career path.

Still nothing for me today. I'll chill until tonight.

Oh and my attorney cancelled on me. He said he will have a phone conference with me tomorrow morning.

Are you talking to an operator when you call? (sorry but i havent read all of the posts)
Are you checking on both petititions? Desiman had his k3 at NVC for a while and the 130 was MIA.
Have you checked online? I had another touch a few days after approval and Im sure that was the day they sent it on to NVC. See if that has changed.

I check both cases too. Not really sure what the hold up is.
I did get a touch on the 6th which was the day after the approval.
An email was forwarded to me from the congressional office from the VSC saying our cases were approved on 3-5-09 and sent to the NVC 2-6-09. So Iknow they left the VSC. But where did they send them???????

I am convinced that they fell out of the mail truck and are scattered all over the highway in NH. whistling.gif
