Yesterday the Purple Heart came and picked up 7 contractor bags full of clothes. Same rule applies to me too. If I haven't seen it in 6 months or so and I haven't missed it...... Out it goes.
I also threw out 7 bags of ####### last Wednesday. I still have alot to get cleaned up. Its funny how we are all cleaning house. I still have to get to my closet too.
I need to clear out the dresser drawers. I'm a jeans #######. I need to tell myself that you can only wear one pair at a time...LOL
I used to look good in jeans. Now I am considering going to the camping store for my wardrobe. I'm sure they have nice colorful TENTS !!!

BTW my papers are at the embassy. Ball is in my husbands court now...

Apart from the personal required documents such a passport, marriage contract, police certificate and birth certificates, I have prepared some evidences of on going relationship.

Pictures together (wedding and mix pics)
E-mails and Letters
Chat logs
Text Messages
Cards and Gift Delivery Receipts
Financial Support (bank and western union receipts)
Plane tickets, Copy of Iteneraries, Boarding Pass
His passport exit and entry stamp
Different Bills such as phone bills, wedding ring, hotel bills etc..

It is better to have tons of proof with you than to go there ill-equipped..

The 3 letters are an abbreviation for the embassy/consulate that will be issuing the visa, the first 4 digits are the year in which the case was created, the next 3 digits are the date when the case was created and the final 3 digits indicate that your case was the nth case number created on that day for that embassy/consulate.

The date the case was created is either just an ordinal date (where Jan 1 is 001 and Dec 31 is 365/366) or the ordinal date plus 500 (if the number is greater than 500 in your case number). I haven't figured out why they do one of the two but adding 500 could be a way of indicating that your petition was filed in the year before.

So, this morning I get two e-mails from the NVC. One is for the K-3 saying it was assigned a case number and I will be notified when it goes to the embassy. ( all the embassy info was listed)

and the other e-mail was saying that the I-130 was received but is not assigned a case number yet...

Nice of them to let me know, huh?

Yup, have they assigned the case number? It should go out to the embassy in the next couple of days, you will probably get a couple of letters from NVC saying they sent out case to the consulate.



Yeppers. It has a beautiful case #.
I am not telling my husband about this because it will only jinx the whole thing !! I'll let him call me to tell me the embassy called him to pick up packet 3.
I hope this is a downhill ride from here on out. I am so stressed out !!!

You can also have him call the USEM in Manilla and see if they are willing to request the file from NVC. From attempts from other VJ Members, NVC is not likely to forward the case file until they assign an interview date or the USEM processing the case requests it.
