K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	VERMONT K-3 Any Approvals Week 26 Jan'09	My husband did call me around 10:45 last night. He said he was really busy at work. His phone card ran out before he could give me a number to call back I only got to talk for 3 minutes I didn't even get to tell him I liove him. He felt bad because he woke me up.... My lawyer wrote me in an e-mail that he is sending me all the documents that my husband needs to sign so we can get all that out of the way while I'm there. AND If I had my way, I would take my kids and fly to Costa Rica so I could be with my husband. The Englsih schools are very good in Costa Rica. I think my kids would benefit huge from culture shock. I was searching for jobs last night in Costa Rica just for kicks ! I could definately find a decent job there even without speaking Spanish. Most of the jobs I was looking at needed someone who was 100% fluent in Englsih. Including reading and writing. HA HA That would be me. !!! But I am the unproud owner of an EX-MONSTER. He would NEVER even let me take Julia for a visit to Costa Rica, let alone live there. And Julia is treated at Children's Hospital. I can't take her out of Philly even if there wasn't an EX-MONSTER. My heart is spilt in TWO... I have a decent job here and we live pretty decent for what it is. Of course there is always room for improvemnet but we have what we need. I'm not at all a material girl. Reality is that I am at the mercy of IMMIGRATION to allow my husband to come here and be part of my family. It kills me how all the illegals are here working, having babies, making money, having parties, driving nice cars ETC... and my husband is back in Costa Rica getting held up at gun point and getting robbed of the only money he has and having to wait for Immigration because we decided to do things legally. I was looking at the long term. I never thought about how bad things would be while waiting. I guess I never thought it would take this long... TODAY has to be a better day. I'm glad the gang is all here. Its nice to know I can vent and there are people who actually understand. I want approvals for all of us so we can move over to a NEW THREAD ! We are already married. We already made the commitment. UGHHHHHH I am sooooo hoping for some good news so I can cheer up my husband. He really needs it more than me. When I see him I will probably cry. I always cry on the plane on the way home. This time I think I will be an emotional mess. I hate leaving him. I'm such a big baby. I'm going to sleep with my phone next to my head. My husband is working all night. Maybe he will call if he can find a public phone where I can call him back. My positive attitude jumped out the freakin' window I can assure you the website is not always up-to-date. I have an NOA1 of 11/04/08 for the I-129F and the website STILL says it is a nonexistent! Finally, last Friday I was given an email to contact to have the case uploaded. (It was not the first time I called about this either.) As for the CR embassy, you are right that they USC's are generally treated very well. However, my husband, who has applied for two visas (travel and student), was treated pretty awful both times. When he applied for his student visa, the agent actually told him he had no need to take English classes b/c his American wife sh/could teach him. (P.S. These were not fluff classes to get him here faster- He applied to and was accepted to the UConn American English Language Institute for a full time course of study.) ... Taking those experiences into account, I can assure you I will not send him on the K3 interview alone, and would not suggest it for you either. I do plan on going with him to the interview. My husband has the worst memory of anyone I ever met. I am afraid he will forget his own name. My husband was in the US for two years. When I met him he didn't speak a word of English. He speaks English very well now. He has been back in Costa Rica for about a year and a half. I am the only one who speaks English with him. I am surprised he has held on to his English as well as he has. Everyone told me he would lose it when he went back. I talk with him everyday. Sometimes 4 or 5 times a day. I make sure he doesn't lose it. I make fun of him all the time because he doesn't teach me any spanish. He won't speak spanish to me because he wants to speak English. I do understand spanish, I just can't speak ...go figure !!! ITs good to hear from another CR wife !! Stay in touch. Do you travel back and forth often? I was told it may take 30 days by one person and I was told I would hear something within 5 days by another. I was told today to never go by the information on the website. It is NOT accurate. ( no kidding, huh?) So we are all being lied to by our government. The same government who claims they have our best interests in mind ( USC) I am so scared for my husband to be living in Costa Rica. I need him here with me. I have all this ####### going on here with my daughter. He has all the ####### going on with the thieves and with his job and everything else. Everything would just be easier if we could be together. I'm just having a bad night I guess. I really want to talk with him . K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	VERMONT K-3 Any Approvals Week 26 Jan'09	THis is the second time in 3 months that he got held up at gun point. My husband is not the biggest guy. He dresses well. Maybe that is why he is a target. I send him American Eagle, Hollister, Abercrombie, Areopostale , Timberland, NIKE ETC.... Anyway, not that it matters how he was dressed. He said he just came out of the bank and hailed a TAXI. He is not the most patient person when it comes to waiting for a Taxi or a bus. SO I am sure he took the first Taxi that drove up. He knows better not to get in a taxi if it isn't RED. Even I know that. And when he opened the door there was a girl in the taxi with the driver. He said he was about to get out but the driver told him it was ok, She was his girlfriend and she was riding with him for the day. My husband was in a hurry so he got in . He was on his way to Pavas ( near the embassy) He said they drove for about 5 minutes then pulled the gun on him. He had about $100.00 on him, his ID, His cell phone ( that I just sent to him) his wallet and his license to carry a firearm ( for his job) In the wallet were several receipts that he really needed. Thank god he left our credit card at home. He was very upset when he called me. I felt helpless. He told me he is scared. He works in security and he sees this everyday and he is really tired of it. WHen I am there with him, he won't let me go anywhere by myself. He keeps telling me that it isn't the same as the United States. He says once people see that I am american and I don't speak spanish I become a huge target. He won't even let me talk on my cell if we are out and about. ow I understand why. He is fine Thankgod, but I worry about him every day. He works two 12 hour days, two 12 hour nights and then 2 days off. He starts work in 15 minutes for the night. I am so scared for him. When I was staying with him in March. Someone saw me going in and out of his house and when we went to the grocery store in San Jose, They broke into the house and took only my stuff. The charged $1200.00 on my one credit card within 20 minutes of the crime. They got another $500.00 from my debit card. Most of the charges were cash advances. The thief must have known the clerk behind the counter. The a-holes even tried to eat at a chinese restaurant. The card was cancelled within an hour of being taken. There were about 20 declined transactions after I cancelled it. They took my passport, SScard Drivers license my ipod, my brand new Kenneth Cole Bag ( GRRRRRR) $500.00 in cash that was hidden, my jacket, my everything !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The police came and it was a huge joke. They didn't understand me and I didn't understand them. Thank god I changed my last name to my husbands name when I came back to the states. Someone could have totally stolen my identity. But now my last name doesn't match the stolen stuff. I'm kind of scared to go back now... I think I may stay with his mom in the mountain. I just sent him money last night so he was coming out of the bank to go to the store. he grabbed a taxi and 5 minutes into the ride, they robbed him and let him out of the car. Thank god they didn't hurt him but he was a mess when he called me. This is the second time this has happened to him in about 2-3 months. last time he was at work. This is another reason why I want him here with me. COSTA RICA is BULL SH!T. I FEEL HELPLESS. I CAN'T DO ANYTHING FOR HIM WHILE I AM HERE. I am the one who is following up everyday and asking questions and making things happen. I am afraid to check the USCIS website. I am praying for you ! I hope things move smooth for you in Bangladesh. It is amazing to me how they can be so rude. I guess they aren't being paid to be nice. Some day their rudeness will come back to them. When they need someething, they will get treated poorly. Thankfully, I hear that the Embassy in Costa Rica is great. I had to go there once before when my passport was stolen. They were all very nice and they moved me along very quickly. I think because I am a USC. I was in and out. I took a number when I walked in and they called my number before I could even walk up the stairs into the building. The longest I waited was for the cashier to come to the window to take my payment. I haven't logged on to myspace in a long time. It seems like older people (like myself) use facebook. My daughter told me myspace is so yesterday. So whatever. If you want me to add you to my facebook, PM your e-mail addy and I will add you. I like facebook because you can block whoever you don't want to see your profile. It has alot of networking too. I wanna join the weekend party thread but I can't get to that forum. GRRRRR. Even though I am here with my husband I still want to party. I'm sucking off of the credit company across the street. Their internet is unsecured so I just tap in. Unfortunately, I only have 2 or 3 bars. I have a really good laptop but it doesn't seem to make a difference. I think I am going back to the mountian today because my husband has to work tonight and tomorrow night. I don't want to be in the house by myself so I want to go hang out with his mom and sisters and cousins. Only one cousin speaks English. HAHAHHAHA I don't care though. They treat me awesome. Maybe they burned mine or maybe it is being used as someones coaster. My questions is; if they moved it to processing 2 + weeks ago, what the heck is going on? Maybe they are doing the background check? But does it take 2+ weeks for that? Do they do a check on both of us or just my husband? What does the background check include? UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! I'm so frustrated. I'm glad I have all my VJ friends. This forum really helped me to understand alot of things. If it is denied then FINE. Just freakin' tell me. They told the congressman that my file was in the processing unit and I should hear from them shortly. That was 2 weeks ago. Did I hear that they do the background checks before the approvals now? I know how slow Costa Rica can be with EVERYTHING. maybe that is the problem. I'll keep checking the USCIS site. I told him I was scared. He said he hates to leave me in the house by myself. He said he wants to be home with me. AWWWWW. He made me feel better. Im still scared but not so much . We were talking about the interview and what questions they may ask him. He was laughing because he has the worst memory of anyone I ever met in my life. Worse than any alzhiemers patient. I think it is due to my crappy internet connection I am hoping to get my approval this FREAKIN' week. I am having a great time here with my husband. I will be online all night because he works all night tonight. I was considering calling the USCIS with Skype and telling them I can't get online to check. I didn't know how to tell him what he wanted to know so he would understand. He got frustrated with me and hung up. That is the last thing I need right now. PMS everyday ? WOW, I can't stand myself during regular PMS. But I'm not usually crying. I'm usually just b!tchy. This crying thing is new and it is freaking me out. I feel like I want to cry all day and for nothing !! Maybe I'm losing my mind LOL An approval will make me feel better for sure !! Come on VSC !!!
