IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsFirst in First out for NOA2?

https://docs.google....drive_web#gid=0

April 10 and onward NOA1 have been receiving their NOA2. What could be the reasons behind this? They did not misplace my packet, did they? I'm the USC and actually a dual citizen (Philippine). Is my case supposed to take longer than the rest?

I'm April 12th and transferred to TSC and still nothing.

You're not the only one

I was lucky too , just 19 days !!! and I am from Morocco . but I think for Philippines  its because of the typhoon , Maybe !!

but don't you have to wait for a visa to become available?   That could take a very long time.

I agree 100% but do you have any idea how long it takes for government agencies to get money appropriated, and to screen and hire new employees, etc...?

The USCIS is funded by the fees they collect.  They already have the money.  Seems to me they have been paid for 9-10 months of applications they haven't even processed yet.  and everyday they receive more... So, it wouldn't take that long to get some temps in there.

LoveMyTicoFemaleCosta Rica2014-01-02 20:01:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsIncredibly FAST Processing

Maybe they're not processing the rest of us slower *on purpose*...but they certainly don't appear to have any kind of motivation to process us any faster.  As many have observed before, the problem with this system is that there is effectively zero accountability.  They have their goal time of 5 months, but if they take longer, we applicants just have to bear it - there is nothing we can do about it, and they suffer no consequences of any kind, so they have no real motivation to ensure their goal is met.

I think it's fantastic that they are approving these people so fast, but it *does* show when they have the motivation to do so (and certainly this will make some good PR for them), they can.  Why should it take a horrible natural disaster to actually force the USCIS to work quickly and efficiently?

and they took away all our resources. We can't even put in a service request because they reported that they are working on Feb 13th.  Anything after that just has to sit and frigging wait...  The Ombudsman won't even touch the complaint if you filed after Feb 13th.   but as we sit here on VJ, we see the approvals all over the place...  May, June July...  Sept  and the typhoon victims.... etc...   it is very depressing

I still think this service should be bid on every year or every 3 years. If they can't produce results, then it goes out to another bidder...  Right now, they have ZERO accountability.  They do whatever they want  yet they claim they work in order. They claim that keeping families together is their number one priority......  REALLY?  AM I  MISSING SOMETHING????????

I think the problems is......  the typhoon is kind of  recent....  All of us who have been waiting just about 9 months are angry because they really could have processed the I-130's  in a reasonable timeframe so there wouldn't be a backlog and then the expedites due to the typhoon wouldn't be such a big deal....   its nothing against the victims.

I'm an early May filer. Transferred to TSC 11/27 and got a RFE Jan 9th. Waiting on the hard copy. So this might give us May filers a little hope.

I'm an April 12th filer transferred to TSC on 11/27   NOTHING YET

So I see on visa journey they say TSC is working on may 6 / now my noa1 was approved on may 6 at nbc and it was transfer to TSC on dec/5 does this mean they working on my case ?

NO !    I hope you realize tha VJ stats are only for entertainment purposes only.  There are so many factors that have changed.  There are tons of March and April  filers who are still waiting.

Also, the NOA1 is not approved.  It is just a notice of action which is the receipt of your petition at the Service center.

WHY, do you not include the Philippines in your study, which I find intereating.,.,.,and is Vermont Service Center known as NBC now??? Just wondering.,..

Just do not know why you would leave out one of the biggest K-1 countries in the world.,.,but nice job.,.,.with WHAY you used!

Hope someone answers the question about VCS being called NBC????

This is not for K-1s.

The philippines were expedited after the typhoon. Not all but most. So the data from that country will throw off the data.   Also, I think the data for NBC is that the files have not been transferred as of now  or the file owner has not updated their info. Its really hard to get a true figure because of how the spreadsheets were handled before they were locked and that many people have NOT updated their timelines  ETC...

As for Vermont.. Who knows.  The files were suppposed to be transferred to NSC, TSC or CSC. If they sent some to VSC, then there isn't enough data for that service center.

Yeah but I wasn't sure which was more up to date.. I could try to reference those sheets to see transfers to service centers that are not reported on the timelines

actually, I don't know how accurate the timelines are as I don't think everyone has updated the service center they were transferred to. I know I didn't.

My info is on the spread sheets.  Some people didn't even fill in the correct Country on their timelines. Armenia is the default.... So many people were on top of the spread sheets.  August has gone willy nilly as they decided to add everyone whether they were transferred or not even though they were originally created to track the transfers.

I received the approval notice and the transfer notice letter in the mail today. The letters are made like a car title or money with watermark lines.  I was transferred from the Vermont office to the Nebraska office. I feel lucky that I did not have any RFEs with the paperwork. God blessed us on my birthday. It took forever for them to start on our case but when they started things have moved very fast and smooth. It has actually been very easy except for the waiting. The wait is because people from all over the world are trying to get here. Good luck to everyone waiting. jeffnmerry

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsService Request effective?

Same with me...

I have:

1 service request due Feb 1st

1 service request due Feb 10th

SEVERAL ( I lost count) inquiries from the Senator's office.   second to last inquiry was Dec 30th saying my case is assigned to  an immigration officer for processing with a blurb saying I should hear something WITHIN 30 days.

I also have the 60 day supplement included with my hard copy transfer notice.

I am now past the 30 days from the senator's inquiry and 63 days past my transfer.

I made an inquiry on Tuesday of this week with the Senator's office for both the I-130 and the K-3 and BOTH service requests.

Still nothing   but there is still tomorrow.

you can only put in a service request every 30 days per file.

You are past the posted procesing time. You should call the Senator's office and the Ombudsman's office.   INSIST on an expedite due to being outside the "normal" processing time.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsAnyone out there that did not get their approval?

I just called my senator's office to get the ball rolling.  USCIS has  until Feb 1st to respond to my one service request.  And I am past the 30 day timeframe they gave back on Dec 30th from the inquiry made by the Senator's office.   I'm so frustrated with these people. The girl at the Sentor's office said she would expedite since they gave a specific timeframe. Let's see if she keeps her word.    Of course she is out of the office til this afternoon.  I am sure she won't return my call today

I am 63 days from transfer to TSC.  I have a service request in for my k-3 and my I-130 and I have an inquiry from  Dec 30th that gives a 30 day timeframe and I STILL haven't heard anything. I sent an email to TSC yesterday with the service request numbers and the inquiry info and dates. I sent the same email today and I'll do it everyday this week.   I am sooooo frustrated and I just want to cry all day and night.  I have such a long jounney ahead and I can't even get past the initial processing.. Are you kidding me?    God help us if they approve any kind of amnesty.   They will push the citizens aside( as they already have) to process the illegals to get the votes for the next election.   So much for doing things the LEGAL way.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsDoes anyone else have this problem or any ideas on what to do?

OP is speaking of the W-4 to update your allowances. I was going to do this yesterday for 2014 tax year but the W-4 says you must check single status if spouse is a non resident alien. A little off topic but you are not required to file married; If you are married you can file single but odds are you will just pay higher taxes depending on your level of income. If you don't have an SSN for your spouse or don't file for an ITIN for your spouse you can just file single this year and file an amended return after getting an SSN for your spouse to claim the deductions. If filing married but separately you may pay a higher tax rate than single. If your single and file a married joint return that is just blatant tax fraud. You have to look at the limits for your income level to make a decision on which works best for you. When you sign the tax form it asks did you complete to the best of your knowledge. If your involved in a spouse immigration case and you file single because you're confused then you answered to the best of your knowledge and you're fine. If you are filing with intent on sticking it to the man that would be easily proven in an audit.

Not all visa applicant's can travel to the US for a visit. Physical presence is required to open a bank account of both parties. That said can the OP try opening a joint account in the spouse's home country. I was able to do this in my wife's home as I happened to have a of my FBI background check with me on a visit to my wife. I was then able to set up international transfer from my bank in the US and I transfer money into our account in my wife's country once a month as family maintenance which she uses to pay her rent. This at least shows I'm financially supporting my spouse.

A dozen good photos from your wedding or with other members of her family with you. Always make sure you are in the pictures with her. You can add your spouse to your company's health/life insurance. I changed my personal information in my company to married and put my wife in my companies emergency contacts. My companies HR sends you a letter about changes on a company form. I also put her as my emergency contact in my passport; if your married why wouldn't she be the emergency contact. I think many people overlook this but the CO at the embassy pointed this out from my passport when I did my son's CRBA; so they do look. My company has a quarterly news letter for personal announcements; I added my wife to that with a photo of our wedding with the details of our wedding. It comes out once a quarter as a magazine. I thought it would help show employment and relationship. Keep travel records and receipts from your visits. Phone records or text logs are good. Odds are you won't need this stuff but it's better to have it if your asked. Just a few ideas for you.

if there was  "LIKE" button for this post I'd be clicking it !

I'm reading all the advice given about not being able to file single if your spouse is out of the country....  Come one guys.   You can file single if your spouse lives outside of the country.   I did this year.  And I went through his years and years ago and the USCIS NEVER EVER questioned my filing status.  They were only concerned with the BOTTOM LINE figure of how much I made that year !   When my husband finally gets to live here , then I will file as Married.

Do what you feel is right for your situation. You can always go back and amend it.

If I were you, I'd be making serious noise about my K-3.    My lawyer didn't think we needed it in the beginning so we didn't file ours til October.  If I filed mine in APRIL, I'd be all over them about it. apparently the SR should end in the service center it is being sent to .   Mine SHOULD have ended in TSC  but they both ended in MSC. I didn't think anything of it because my case numbers begin with MSC.  When I hung up with the officer on Friday I wanted to kick myself for not asking if the SR # is the same...     The tier 1 told me there is a backlog of SR's so they aren't answering them by the date given...  I told him its because everyone is so pissed off that their case is taking this long.. Of course they are putting an SR in.   He wasn't too happy with me.  After I got transferred, the tier 2 started off my saying that both my cases were at the NBC...  After I told him they were transferred, he dug a little deeper and then said I was correct.... well, DUHHHHH  ya think?     I did get verification that the backlog IS due to the DACA and provisional waivers.     Im so pissed off that we were all pushed aside for ILLEGALS who broke the law and are now getting rewarded with priority processing.  ( GAG GAG GAG)    even the waivers are getting processed first.  God forbid the illegals go back to their own country and wait it out...

Hello vj's.. I m feb filer pd 22 feb which is passed now. Service request was made on 23 jan but when we called them again the representative said earlier service request was made for national benefit center but our case was transferred to nebraska so service req should be for nebraska .. so she again put service request and said call back after 15 days .. means around 15 feb... my question here is anybody experience the same thing.. after service request wat will happen and how much time it will take to approve our case. Please suggest. . Thanks in advance. .

OMG  the same thing just happened to me on Friday.  The tier 2 I was speaking to acted like the person who entered the original service request was an idiot and he didn't know why he sent it to the NBC.. He said he fixed it and now it has been sent to the TSC.  Its looking like it is a new way to stall yet again.   #######????

Please show me the specific law that says because you are a CITIZEN that your case should be top priority. All cases are top priority. And at the moment, yes 12-16 months is within their normal processing time for the caseload they have. Screaming and kicking isn't going to make them go any faster or hire more people or revamp their system. There is no law that is written that specifically says your case, or anyone else's case has to be processed within a specific timeline because you are a citizen.

Didn't say it was fair.  In fact I agree, the systen is broken.  Now, thanks to Obama perhaps millions are in line for special visas if they have already snuck into the country illegally.  We gotta serve all those poor illegals first... that's just the way it's working.  What they call amnesty????  Fair?  Heck no!

I agree with so many posts here.  If I start posting , I'll get kicked off.   Hard to hold my tongue about the illegals and the fact that the immigration system has chosen to favor Illegals and residents over its own citizens.   I guess since most states don't require ID to vote, They are counting on the votes.    If the government favors the illegals, guess who will vote ....
