I bathed dem Thus so they were good on Friday and then with the weekend and such I just lost track. It's so sad and I felt so horrible. Hey we human it happens to the best of us. LOL Well, without going into any great detail on here, this woman is not really concerned with her own personal hygiene so what is anyone to really expect of her as far as the kids go? He called them today and they said they still haven't made a decision. Thanks TAMH for you encouraging words when I am feeling so discouraged. Have you gone through the Missouri job service? I think you can do it online. If not, you go down to one of the unemployment offices. You register on their computers and then you can search as often as you like online. And, it's a one time thing. I did it long ago and still check on there from time to time. He may have to expand the places he is willing to work at for now, Dillon. My point with Andre was get a job, ANY job. Get some US experience on your resume and then go from there. One year of ANY job was all I pushed for. In the job front, he's done exceptionally well. Not easy at first though. BTW....Gateway Race track has an open call interviewing on the 12th and 13th 5 pm to 9 pm at the Track. Not sure of what they are hiring for or any details. Don't really want to go into a lot of details but not having a job is causing MAJOR stress in our house. So I don't know how he is feeling today as I am not talking to him. Hope he is spending the day reflecting on what a great year it has been and not focus on the negative point of not working. I was going to have a little celebration with chocolate covered strawberries and some champagne but I don't really feel like it now. Am I psychic? I was really just inviting you out cause I was missing seeing you. You know what I think....as I've said it to you. It's a tough first year as far as jobs go. He has to find a way to curb his frustration. And, you have to find a way to deal with still paying for everything and (regardless of what you say) having attitude with that sometimes. Ive actually been keeping a little diary for my Steve and will present it to him for his birthday (July 5th) It's gonna be a scrapbook project for me. Im trying to have a bbq out in the park for him since its so close to a holiday. He is getting a red, white, and blue cake weather he likes it or not (lol) gonna get my best friend who is a pastry chef to hook it up for him. I just love her cakes.. She has a FB page with her cakes on it. Ive saved everything, the first trip we took together, his first basketball game, his first movie, his first hotel stay, which was the day he arrived. His first trip to the poconos for our honeymoon. Im mapping out the whole immigration process he has gone thru....All that stuff.. My case was "touched" April 7th yippee Awwww....sweet. I'm basically fuming. My BF had his kids last night and the kid's mom, always playing games, texted him she wouldn't be home till 10:30 so she would just pick up the kids at his house. It's a SCHOOL NIGHT, mind you and he's supposed to have the kids home by 9 pm. So BF tries to talk his son into taking a shower at his house. Son said cause he has no clothes there to change into. BF says, when was the last time you took a shower? After some thought......SATURDAY. 5 days ago. This is a 13 year old active but autistic boy. ####### is that??????? I freak out at the cost of housing some of you talk about and your commutes We are a big city with a small town mentality. Everyone pretty much knows everyone. Good free schools and a huge private, mostly Catholic, school system. Lots of free stuff to do.....landmarks, the zoo, science center, museums. And always some sort of festival to go to. Diverse. Rivers and great parks. Forest Park rivals Central Park in NY. OK, the weather sucks but you get used to it. It sometimes changes hourly. Winters are not really bad. Lately, we've had only a couple weeks of snow really. Summers can be so freakin' hot and humid though and seem to last forever. BASEBALL CARDINALS!!!!!!! And of course...............Me, Dillon, Shaunsgirl, JOURNEE........and whomever else I am forgetting. Tell me something, girls.............how long is the very longest you would let your child go without taking a shower or bath? I mean even if you were crazy busy and there just wasn't time. The book "The Coupon Mom's Guide to Cutting Your Grocery Bills in Half" is really helping! Tomorrow, I'm going to get paid to buy some Stride gum @ CVS, as well as strike a zillion other bargains. They're open 24 hrs so I almost want to go now, but should be asleep. Anyway, here's what I made for dinner. Less than $5 for 6 servings: 1 lb ground beef (chuck) - $1.79 1/4 white onion - $0.50 2 boxes Kraft Mac & Cheese - $0.69 each (sale @ Walgreens) 1/2 stick butter (or less) & 1/2 cup milk (or more) - let's say $1 various seasonings - pennies @ organic store, bought in bulk Brown seasoned beef, adding chopped onion partway through. Drain & rinse off fat. Prepare boxed macaroni as instructed. Add onion/beef mixture & more seasonings. Eat. Say "Yummy!" Portion into single-serve bowls (tip from "Mindless Eating") for future meals.
