Proven to work, touch anything stainless steel after cooking or cutting or any sort of handling garlic. If your faucets stainless steel just rub your hand along it for a second or 2 while lathering. I usually grab a fork of a knife and lather with that in my hands, then rinse. Kills the smell instantly! Try it!

Oh really, that's good to know! Thanks for the tip!

A couple of weeks ago Mike and I broke the garlic press because I had this bright idea to try pressing ginger in it... it was a quality press but the handle snapped off.

So yesterday I am at the grocery store and I pick up this garlic press that was $7.00 and I decided to buy it.

Mike looks at it and says hesitantly: "Well.... I guess that will do.... for now"

I thought, how great would it be if that garlic press lasted our entire lives! And I told him that... "You watch this 'cheap press' will last us forever! We don't need to spend an arm and a leg at Williams Sonoma for the same thing!" and I was quite pleased with my find.

Well, anyways, we bring it home and I get the first clove of garlic to press it and... SNAP the thing breaks in two.

Mike just looked at me and said: "Aww that was supposed to last us our entire lives" laughing.gif

laughing.gif That sucks!! I know this is bad because cooking with real garlic is a million times better, but I got tired of my fingers smelling for like 2 days after peeling and cutting it, so I've just started using the garlic in a jar in the juice and garlic powder in lieu of real garlic cloves. There is no comparision but anyway LOL

OK, I discovered Ice Road Truckers over the weekend. Was housesitting for my parents for the last two weeks and love this show now. Which brings the total number of t.v. shows that I will watch to 3 (The Office, Family Guy, and now Ice Road Truckers). It was funny because I'm sitting there watching it with Mel, and my aunt and my sister were over, and they are asking so many questions about the area that they are in. Finally, Mel tells them, "you know, i'm from southern ontario, which is about the same latitude as northern california". My favorite was when she told them that Yellow Knife was like 4k miles from where she was from.

On a side note...... how the hell could someone live in Yellow Knife? Wow that must suck.

Back labour is when the babies head is up against your backbone basically, like something trying to push out your spine from the inside out.

It is EXTREMELY painful. It is the kind of labour that you're told about and you don't think it could happen to you.

During prenatal classes I was like: "Whoa sucks for whoever gets that" I got it. dry.gif

During regular labour there are small breaks between the pain but with pack labour... its just constant pain. I was bawling and swearing and screaming annnd at one point I told the nurse to shoot me. laughing.gif

I can't believe how much they want to charge ppl for brown bread here even the cheap 100% whole wheat is double of the white bread. They sure dont want ppl eating healthy.

I had back labour for all 4 of my kids. You would think I would of stop after the first 2 but nope and to top it all off I have the major fear of needles so I went through it all natural. I always liked the baby belly too, maybe why i had so many kids loved it.
