For example - Canadian n American, young couple under 30, no previous marriages or children, interviewing in Montreal - HEY ! not need so much, as Montreal isn't considered a high fraud interview post. or Morroccan male, age 25, and American female, age 45 with prior divorce and 2 kids, interviewing in CasaBlanca - WHOOSH ! they 'fit the profile' for closer evaluation, this 'type of Union' gets super-scrutiny at CasaBlanca, sometimes to include Foreign Spouse 'house visits' and 'telephone interviews with his family and friends' and a mini-stokes interview on interview day. So, the 'relationship pile' really is relative , both to YER BACKGROUND and WHERE THE INTERVIEW will be. There are other permutations, sure, there are other red flags that can pop up - but HEI ! Be Aware !! Also remember - yer 'bonafide marriage evidence' pile is a 'living document' - it grows over time, ya? So what you have 'available' on I-130 submittal day, is not the same amount that you have on 'Interview Day at the Embassy', which is not the same amount that you have for yer pile submitted for the 'Removal of Conditions' filing. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Persistance Pays	I am SO glad I listened to advice given on Visa Journey saying to call NVC often and not to listen to everything they tell you. Our NOA2 was approved on 09/22. After several calls (it sure is nice to be able to talk to someone isn't it?!) we found out that NVC received it on the 28th but it wasn't in the system. We were told to call back in a week to give email addresses. I called yesterday and was told to call back at the end of October or beginning of Nov because "it usually takes us 6-8 weeks to get your case into the system". I expressed my confusion at how another operator had told us to call back in a week, and this lady said well you can TRY but I am telling you the usual timeframe. I called today anyway, and sure enough we now have a case number! I am sure glad I did, since now they have our email addresses (the operator asked for them) and now they will email us the invoice etc rather than snail mail. Celebrating the little steps! I'm from Los Angeles, and came to Ukraine to marry my wife I hired a IMMIGRATIONM attroney in Los Angeles while living here in Rivne Ukraine. I'm retired and dont work an a Veteran with SSA income. I filed all the paperwork from here to him and he than sent it to Chicago for me. Im waiting for the NOA2 and the next step like January 2011, NOA1 August 4th. After i got married in June 25th 2010, I had everything done and sent by August 4th for NOA1 I did all forms for the I-130 and he did it for me. $900.00 total for everything. Sent electronic signature for all my documents and he just copied and pasted for me and sent them. If your interested let me know and I WILL PUT YOU IN TOUCH WITH MY ATTORNEY WHO DOES IMMIGRATIONS ALL OVER THE WORLD. Did contract over the internet we both faxed and scan and did it all electronic. He does everything all the way untill and including Adjustment of status.. Paid $500 up front and the balance after she gets Visa approval even paid all fee's via the Google online service like paypal. cost and his fee's electronicly... Wait for 8 weeks for further instructions" Does anyone have idea as to approximate wait times for interview appointment once Case completed in IR1 category. It has been a long wait now away from my husband. Congratulations on your case completion! Interview dates are consulate dependent. Luckily it didn't cause any problems, I was approved without any issues. I later discovered that many fellow filers but n/a for part (a) then Montreal, Canada for part (b) but I still think n/a for both would be more appropriate considering how the initial question is worded. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	conditional GC to citizen	hey thx! ur sure its not after 5 yrs of the 10 yr GC? so according to what ive understood form ur reply, it basically one yr after the 10 yr greencard , we can apply for citizen ship (and yes, stayin married as well) 5 years from when you first became a permanent resident...so 5 years after the issue date of your initial green card or 3 years for a marriage based application. I know that after getting the conditional GC, have to wait 2 yrs to remove the conditions and then after we recive the 10 yr GC. From this point how long does a person have to wait to get us citizenship? If you remain married to your US spouse you are eligible for marriage-based citizenship 3 years after the start date on your first green card. Also, I just got back after visiting my wife. I had her sign all the forms DS-3032 and DS-230 Part one. How do I generate the barcode which I need to place on those forms? And when I call the rep to provide our email addresses do I need to mention something specific about it or just ask them to add our emails addresses? You need to email DS-3032.
