They returned us some docs bak n told us 2-3 weeks. Kept passport.. My wife passpory is 8 yr old. Cpuld this be it?? Now only option is just wait. You can send emails to Embassy once in a while (may be every week or two) to enquire it. It can take few weeks to months. Keeping passport with them is a good sign, BTW. I paid an immigration attorney $2500.00 plus the filling fee just to file my I 130. She told me and my wife the whole process to aquire the visa would be that much. Now that we are at the NVC stage she sent another statement saying I owe her another $2500. plus $492. So $2992 all together on this statement. I am livid. She lied to us and is just billing us whatever she wants. Now I want to take it over from here but she is on the paper work as being the agent with the NVC. Can we change that at this point. We are being taken for fools and I refuse to pay any more than I already have...other than the filling fees. I think we can handle the rest of the process. But I just need to know if we can take it from here. You can remove the attorney by re-filing DS-3032 again. Talk to NVC operator. Loto, it was a copy of my divorce decree. i was told that a screen capture of my divorce docket online would suffice. then when i had checked the uscis does state it needs a certified copy of it. but it was too late borat had already sent it in. so now we had the rfe for that and my wifes getting a copy of it on monday, then she'll have it fed ex'd and hopefully it will continue. im hoping so as its really tough at the min. if it wasnt id sit back and enjoy as best as i can my life left in england. so my wife is especially hoping our case will be expedited upon receipt of the rfe. I just can't believe your fxxxing attorney. Photocopy of the original divorce decree is needed with I-130. Now since it is RFE, original has to be provided. Even if I am using a co-sponsor, is it still necessary to include my pay stubs and employment letter if my income isn't sufficient? Or just those of the co-sponsor? Thanks If the co-sponsor is living at your address, co-sponsor will file I-864A and you will file I-864. Then both parties' employment letter and paystubs may be needed since both are combining income. If the co-sponsor is living at different address, co-sponsor will file I-864 and you will file I-864. Regular stapling is fine. Heavy duty stapling will be difficult for them to remove, if they want. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	This whole thing will make me crazy	So I have been studying everything here and even so I am still at a loss. I have all the applications necessary to send out in order to bring my husband here but I really don't have that much evidence. I have our wedding photos, and other photos as well. I have text message records (but my cell is in my parents name don't know if that is a problem). We haven't really had an oportunity to co-mingle our bills or even live together since I am in the US and he is in Serbia. I guess the question is what do I do? What can I give them as evidence of an ongoing marriage? The whole affidavit by friends sounds good but I dont even know where to have them start. I don't want to wait for another two weeks for friends and family from back home to write one and than to have it translated. My family didn't attend the wedding but have met him when they were in Serbia in 2009. Add him in your auto insurance and show as married. File the taxes together when the time comes. Open a joint bank account if possible. Visit him if possible, so passport will have those stamps. Exchange some gifts and keep the receipts. So on and so forth... The certificates must be issued within one year of the date of the Visa appointment. NOTE: An applicant must present a police certificate from his/her country of current residence and country of nationality, if residence in such country exceeds 6 months" As you can see it doesnt matter that in the past four years shes mainly been in Canada bc as far as the US goverment knows prior to that she could have been an axe murder in India (hence the multiple police checks). At POE, he will be issued a 2 year CR1 GC. But not the physical card. It will be a one year valid I-551 stamp, but it is good for him to travel outside the U.S. In another few weeks to 2 months, he will get the physical GC by mail. So I need actually to get fixed my problem. I got only photocopy of police certificate, original is on his way by DHL and will be next week, Do I need really certified translation. Can I just translated by myself and put on bottom I __________________________________certify that the translation is accurate, and the translator is competent to translate. Or do I need to indicate that the translator made a mistake by typing September instead of November? If you know both English and Russian, you can do it. The below is the quote from the USCIS site. So this means even if case completes in First week of November, we might not get a interview date till February? AnywaY to check whats Delhi consulates workload like? Talk to NVC operator 1 or 2 weeks after your case completed there to get an idea. Most probably, interview will be by the end of Dec or the beginning of Jan. This is for Delhi, India embassy. Thanks, hotzone, it bascially depends on the Consulate workload. Typically, Indian consulates give interview 1.5 to 3 months time after NVC Case completion. Do they just pick that for you? or is it based on where you live? I couldn't seem to find an answer quickly. Thanks When you get your NOA1 if the first three letters of your receipt # are WAC it's CSC, if they are EAC it's VSC. The only ones I've seen where pregnancy was a criteria was if it was exceptionally high risk or the medical care in the US was substantially greater than in the spouses home country.
