cell phones??? Are you kidding me??? I heard my phone this morning around 6:00am with text tone and ignored it as usual thinking "family from overseas". Than panicked and fell from the bed while trying to reach that thing and turned out it is a FRIEND from over seas...... "hmmm I don't know the time differences very well but hapy b-lated valentine to you both!"


I never paid much attention to my phone so far but from today I will...1 more thing to add to my anxiety and paranoia...
Im not so sure VSC will text me on time either....they all took Friday off Im sure, will be back on Tuesday....spend the day discussing about their long fabulous weekend..etc...so that pretty much explains our case status till Wednesday.
Dont be breaking any bones waiting to hear from them.....
and Happy Belated valentines to you as well....
Now if your prediction for me worked out that would have been a valentines worth remembering....
Looking at the List of Oct filiers I am a tiny bit relieved that only 1 person has an RFE....that is my fear. i have sent all the stuff they need, nothing left to send...so if I get an RFE after all that I am going to hurt someone... :bonk:

Looking at your NOA dates, I think both approvals are going to be within days from each other.
VSC, once again, seems to approve a few people at the end of the month then cover the rest of the month in a random behavior.

Keep your fingers crossed, and keep your cellphones on and expect a text message once October filers hit 85% or greater....


Yeah cell phone is on all the time...and fingers crossed most of the time...
I check my case status once a day and If I see INITIAL review one more time I am going to jump out of my window and drag someone else along with me...lol....

It would be quite nonsense to predict anything on Sunday anyway:) I am still hopeful for Susan73 (not only for her sanity but also my application to move forward) for this week. Again it is VSC only god can predict what they will do, and even he can have a hard time to do so with their nonsense pattern...


Well I still have my personal deadline of March 14th anyway..so let me work on patience for now....Maybe both you and I will get approvals on the same day!!!!

It was just a bold luck, nothing significant. I was expecting more approvals to come this week and usually they start posting approvals around mid week. You happen to be on the correct zone. I was expecting someone to be approved (from mid october) by mid week...
not to mentioned I really wanted you to have a break from this stressful waiting...
PS: I have to admit even I was caught by a suprise to see your approval right on the date:))))

OMG I got a compliment from V333k the Guru of VJ....
VJ has about 30-40 folks who are are registered here for each month of filing & we all know how many millions are going through this drama...so it makes me feel better already.
Maybe lot more people are sent to VCS than CSC (coz VSC is really efficient ;) and CSC has to deal with very few hence they are really fast....
My My the assumptions we make to fool ourselves...

My AOS approval for permanent residence was in November 2007, and citizenship eligibility through marriage is 3 years; therefore, November 2010 is my 3 year anniversary. Just like ROC, they allow to apply as early as 90-days from your 3rd anniversary (August for me). The only difference is that you don't need to apply within the 90 days since your GC is valid for 10 years.

I just had an epiphany!!!

I am going to quit my current Engineering job and apply for an office supplier company that supplies to VSC.

When I receive an order from them, I am going to send them NOA! It will say something like this:


Dear Officer:
We have received your pencil order. We are eagerly working on providing you with the best service. You should expect your pencil to arrive within 6 -12 months. You will soon receive another letter requesting your "biometrics". This process is important since we have extremely high standards and we want to make sure that the pencil will fit exactly your hand, we don't want to see it break while you are working.

Sincerely,
Shipping & Receiving Department
Office Supplier Company


Then, I will keep them waiting until we receive a phone call from one of their officers. This is what I imagine the conversation will be like:


officer: We requested a pencil a year ago and we haven't heard anything yet.

me: Let me take a look at your order. Yes, I see your order....... Oh, there is no information we can provide you except that we received your request and it is going to be processed in the order it was received.

officer:We need this pencil to write with and get on with our lives.

me:There is nothing I can provide you with at the moment. You can schedule an infopass appointment with one of our warehouses.

officer: What?

me:Yes, you can go there and get a garantee in your financial documents that your money is not wasted and your waiting is deeply sympathized with.


Now the officer will go get a stamp in their finance books saying that they have an additional year of guarantee that the pencil will arive.


Then, I will send them a letter (RFE) after a few more months:

Dear Officer,
This letter is to inform you that we do not have enough information and we would like to request the same information you gave us when you placed the order and we will also be sending you another biometrics appointment since our carpenter did not get a good reading and therefore could not cut the pencil properly. In addition, we could not determine if you are placing this order with the intention of taking the pencil home or really as an office requirement. You have 30 days to comply with this request or your order will be considered abandoned and we will close your account with our company. Your money will not be refunded. If you feel that this is not fair, then you can use one of our online forms and apply for reconsideration with the fee of $1000 to reopen your order.


Once I receive this information, I will send them another letter saying that we received their new info and it will be only a few more months before we complete their order.

Then, 6 months pass and I finally approve their order.

The letter will be as such:


Dear officer:
I have great news. Your order has been approved and we have forwarded your order to the proper department. Please allow 6 months to receive your pencil. Please feel free to contact us (if you haven't retired yet) after 6 months if you have not received your order.

I think this message should be sent to VSC and let them know they have a deadline...

Well - from previous months, a few people get approved at the end of the month, then they start approving randomly starting with the beginning of the month, so I am guessing 1 or 2 more weeks before I hear from them... so they are at least being consistent with their behavior. The only thing is they have not been approving people lately. There is some discontinuity in their processing. Frustrating! I really feel for the August and September people... I can't imaging their frustration!

I sorted the data by NOA1 dates, and I took out the I-751 date since this has nothing to do with USCIS:

Just a quick comment: all the filers at the beginning of the month are not treated fairly. Why the end of the month starts receiving approvals?

Inorder to calm my nerves and my anxiety I have somehow convinced myself that i will hear from them by March 14th...(why that date i dont know).....and not before that.....
That way i wont be logging into the USCIS site 14 times a day and checking my status coz honestly I am tired of seeing the words INITIAL REVIEW.
But then that gives them about 45 days to send me RFE!!!!!..so then again Im anxiety ridden....
When will this end!!! :blink:

you wonder why your wife is immature now? you should worried before you got married to her. By the pictures it seems that she is very young and that you can be her father!
also I live in china (as I mentioned before) I know a lot of Asian ladies. they always hit their babies that is normal here because they come from an uncivilized country. they also are so poor they always want to marry a western guy to take them out of their poverty. that is just reality here and you can ask any of the expats wives living here. They are always getting divorce because a much younger Indonesian, Chinese or Philippine girl got in the middle.

Oh Boy!!! Be nice folks....as much as what you may say is almost entirely true it isnt helping this man in this situation so why bash him.
We all have crosses to bear..may not be a nasty spouse but some other thorn in the flesh.
If I were him I would dump that woman in a nano second but then there are innocent kids involved.
Doc i hope that you are able to find a way to sort this out and be happy and keep your kids happy and safe.

I realize that it is very concerning what you see, but I am wondering since this is an international package, a DHL person needs to sign off on it to maintain records of international-shipping... I guess these rules exist to make sure nothing threatens the US.

Hope you see another update tonight (or tomorrow) with a St. Albans location.


After a bit of drama with DHL, they traced the package and confirmed yesterday that it was delivered to the correct address and to ignore the tracker info on their website (really!!!). Anyway, the good news is that I just checked with my bank and the check has been cashed by USCIS :dance:

I've been tracking my package sent on August 11th via DHL and just now it says: Delivered - Signed for by : A STANLEY Boston, MA - USA ????

I've called DHL here in Switzerland and they said they'll open up a trace and get back to me tomorrow. Oh God, I hope the package arrived at ST. ALBANS, VT otherwise I'll be screwed as my wife's GC expires next week.

Anybody with similar experience ?

Please add me to the August filers' list. I've just mailed the packet for my wife from Switzerland where we're temporarily located with permanent address in NJ. I hope it will reach there by Friday. I couldn't get return receipt from DHL but I was told I'll be able to see the name of person in trace and tracking on DHL's website. My wife's green care expires on August 26th but we had to wait due to several variables however I'm glad it's finally out and now hope the process will go smooth. Packet is sent to Vermont service center.
