K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ATTENTION JULY FILERS!	What do you guys think? Any advice? Embassy- Delhi Dear Sir/Madam When (fiance) and I applied for a Fiance Visa (interview was May 23 2007) we may not have supplied as much proof as required, therefore we didn't get the visa and it was sent back to NVC.(petition expired). I honestly didn't think it would be that difficult and didn't know how thorough I should have been. This time I will be flying down to attend the interview and both (fiances name) and I have made sure we have submitted a thorough and detailed package, including emails, monthly phone bills(detailed), my 4 trips including engagement, engagement photos (home ceremony and party my parents threw), as well as affidavits of support from both sides of our families and friends, proof of identity for both myself and Harpreet. I have also enclosed an affidavit from myself detailing how we were introduced, how we communicated and how we got engaged. We are more than willing to prove how much we love and care for each other. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	ATTENTION JULY FILERS!	Got a hold of someone at the DOS. My case went to NVC on Dec 27. She says the file went to post Dec 28. I said ok, what does that mean? She said hold on.. she put me on hold for like 5 mins. then she said it is at NVC and is being looked at(she said it was touched). And that it would take 3-4 weeks. I got the email for NOA2 on Dec 23. The number above said NVC got the case Dec 27. She seemed very hesitant about the case. She said it would be a long time before it goes to the embassy in India. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	POE at JFK	My fiances flight landed at 559am but by the time she came out it was 830am. It took her 2.5 hrs to get thru, immigration, getting her bags and then customs. She went on line(seems there were lik 7 flight coming in at once). The immigration officer asked her 1-2 questions(what is your fiances name, his address, what does he do?). Simple questions. Then she was directed to the secondary room. She waited there for over 90 mins. A guy came up to her took her paperwork, she waited 30 mins, he came back asked her the same few questions above and then she waited another 40 mins or so. He came back asked her what I do. He came back 15 mins later with the passport stamped and EAD. It was a very long wait. But we got thru it. She landed in terminal 4 where alot of international flights land. She wasnt harassed but she was made to wait. alot!	cjindia	Male	India	2008-03-10 21:19:00

I put the application back in April and it's getting pretty frustrating. Tell us about it. :)	The waiting to hear if you are approved part is the HARDEST. Especially when we thought VSC would be a couple months faster than it was. It is all relative, sure if average American citizen and put him in a camp like that it would seem terrible for them. Not so with most of those in these camps. Before the camps they were abused, had little rights, very little food, no medicine, etc. Our government should provide us better service than they are, period…I’m sorry I am not willing to allow everyone in the world who does have life as good as us to step ahead of my future spouse. I also refuse to cheer on VSC or give them accolades. One of the things I have read in many posts already is how people hate their communication and wonder why they aren’t told more. You know what they said when I called them and mentioned their communication problem? They said, “What is the problem? We state 6 months and people should not expect communication beyond what is on the web site before that point.” I guess now that we know that we should all just be happy campers and wait for the 6 month point to say anything…not me…I’ve joined the many others who have written their senators and congressmen…hell, gotta do something besides get irritable each day seeing the depressing news of none of the VJ members getting their NOA 2’s. But its crazy to read how many iraqi's are being accepted to the USA and they can't even adjudicate and accept a few K1 petitions. it seems rediculous. No matter how much we want to help out those in need who have a worse life than us, were just gonna have to put our hands up and admit defeat at times that no problems in this world are ever going to get solved. I don't want to sound like a mean SOB but we have to carry on with our lives with our loved ones and try to help out those in need when this phase of our life is over with. Many may not agree this hard stance, but sometimes (not all the time) you have to think whats better for you . end of story. ab AMEN brother! Actually i did try one time and i got one of the operators who reads of a paper saying that they are within the 6 month period and i am not there yet....i told her how i was told it was with an officer and her answer was..." well, my computer does not show that"...i havent called cause i dont want to snap on anyone! I think what has me most aggravated is that about 2 or 3 weeks ago when i called using the RFE trick i was told that my petition was with an officer....if so then how long does it take and officer to go through a batch of files...Something is seriously wrong here and to think that besides the point that the process is at a halt, now they tell you things that might not be true...and if it is true that it was with an officer then what is going on???
