Welcome, and this site is probably what will keep you sane during the wait you have ahead of you...what you should do is read up and prepare, prepare and prepare for the road ahead...make sure you have all the requirements that your specific embassy wants at the time of the interview...doing all this preparing is what kept me busy and sane when i started the process...In the beginning i was pulling my hair out , everyday seemed so lon, but then i got into the reading and things seemed to calm down....Good luck!!!!!!!! Still waiting for my NOA2...unfortunately its the weekend again and 2 more days of no approvals, like the icing on the cake with the way VCS is taking a turtle pace in sending all of us our NOA2'S.....I really believe that CSC has gone ahead of VCS with approvals! You would think they are giving 2 for 1 the way that there seems to be such a rush of applications flooding USCIS...bszoom, there really was more movement around this time last year? Thanks Jason, yeah just here killing time, if it wanst for VJ , then i probably woud be doing exactly what all those cartoon faces show...lol...like i said once before, in the beginning i was PANICKING big time, but then i realized that i was doing it to myself...I have been calm ever since and to tell you the truth time has been flying!! Still anxious of course but calm at the same time. I wonder what the first touch that we all have that happens a couple of days after the NOA1 is about That is when they put it in a box that says "open in 3-4 months", then seal it shut & let it collect dust. I didnt know about the date on the bottom of the timeline ..the one that gives you an estimated time as to when the case gets processed..I was getting all happy thinking that i was really close, but the date for me is Sept 5th.... ...my patience is wearing thin!!! VCS and the whole USCIS system really needs to get their act together...This is a government agency, who on top of everything raised their prices!!! I wrote yesterday to the chief of USCIS and explained how eventhough we know that tis is a long process, they should keep us better informed as to where we stand...The processing dates given on the USCIS website are updated by a computer on a monthly basis...I think they have no substance!! They are not even true estimates..Its just a computer doing an automatic change every month...I wrote how USCIS should do an update daily or at the very least weekly to tell us where we stand!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have my fiance in Colombia getting all the police records and all the stuff she could do in the mean time together...as for me, just checking the USCIS site hourly to see if I even get a touch..i havent had one since May 30th!! .....Please VCS....pick up the pace for us!!!! Could it really be that they moved petitions from the other centers to Vermont and that is the cause for the delays...if so , does that mean that a petition coming from another center with let's say a date two weeks before mine, gets put in front of mine!!! .... ...My baby is pregnant and it's my first child...i want to be next to her through the pregnancy!!! She is only one month but that month seemed to fly by!!!!!!!!! Byron-Leidy... will they ask for the police report in packet 3 and medical exam..etc? And is it ok to begin working on this before our petition is approved? I would like my fiancee to begin working on his paperwork but not sure when and what they will ask for or how recent the paperwork should be. From what i have read, in Colombia, they ask for this stuff at inteview time. Packet 3 just asks for OF-169, DS-230, DS-156, DS-156k and I134...and a letter requesting an interview.
