It's funny, even though we looked over our forms no less than 50 times i'm still concerned something is wrong sometimes. Someone will mention an RFE here and i'll need to go check and make sure we didn't make the same mistake. It's easy to overthink everything and make mistakes even when you're so concerned with getting it right. Overthinking and overanalyzing everything I suppose. It's enough to make you go mad really! I'm glad you're feeling at ease about the mistake. Hopefully you have an adjuticator who browses right over it and assumes you made a simple error. Hopefully we have that same adjuticator! I don't think the new home will matter so much as far as the interview..etc...as nothing is sent anyway. You'll want to note it on the AOS papers once your love is here and you are married. Anything can happen before closing. At least with your parents house, you know you'll get what you need. Congratulations on your new home btw. Now just need that approval! Katie and Luciano... congratulations!!! I can only imagine you are both on cloud 9! Keep us posted as you move along to the next steps. So exciting to wake up today to see another approval. We needed it bad! HighwayStar, why do you feel that way??? Maybe just your heart and mind trying to protect you from your own emotions? Try to stay positive.. it's coming! It looks like your approval should be right around the corner. PiP... I don't know what to tell you about your mistake. I wouldn't call or anything as I doubt it would do you any good but just wait and hope you don't receive an RFE. Sorry to read that so many of you are fighting with your SO. So not what any of us need right now. We're definitely all living with high emotions and feeling it more and more every day, i'm sure. It is a difficult process and so hard not being able to just wrap around each other when times are tough but it's so important not to take it out on each other. All the waiting... the denied entry... the time apart. It's all so hard, isn't it? We've sacraficed so much over the years and here we are... just waiting for someone else to take 10 minutes to approve our case. It all seems so unfair... but it is what it is, I suppose. This is just a stumbling block and you will get through it ...and I know it's hard to see it now, but you will get there...and be even be better because of it. Where did you see the late April filer approval??? I can't seem to find it. My glass remains half full but I will be the first to admit this wait is taking it's toll on my psyche. My poor love has been living out of his suitcase for over 9 months now... actually, all he had when he was sent home from Dublin was a backpack! Granted, he's living in the kind of beauty many only see in postcards...he's been finished with his work for some time now and even though he's keeping busy working on what is our home when we're in NZ..... he's really just sitting there... waiting. Seems senseless really. So, he's even more anxious than I am...which speaks volumes! I try to stay strong for him. Johnabis was touched on Friday so it does appear we may be on our way... hopefully we'll see them approved on Monday along with all the rest of March and then we can expect to see several early April approvals this week as well. All of you with early April dates stay strong... it's got to be real soon! Curse the USCIS for dating my noa1 a week after they got it! I've sort of put off coding a list for all of us April filers as I thought perhaps it would make us all a bit more anxious to not see changes on it but maybe it's time for it now...???? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	APRIL '08 Vermont K-1 Filers	If you look in the stats posted in this thread alone you'll see the trend of it slowing down since January/February. We can speculate until the cows come home but nobody can really seem to say for sure. The H1B visa's came through in April so perhaps that is partly to blame but I find that a tough pill to swallow as last years timelines didn't seem effected by it. The past year has brought many changes in the USCIS. The fee hike brought in a huge influx of petitions that they weren't prepared for. New adjuticators were hired but that still caused a HUGE backlog in cases for a long time. The K1's were also split between the two centers (VSC/CSC) when they used to be handled by several others as well. In the end, it is what is is... historically, VSC has always been the fastest of all the centers but the fluxuations have always ranged from weeks to months. We can all only hope that our time is coming soon and that things will speed back up for those who filed after us. Edited by KimandRuss, 27 June 2008 - 11:06 AM. NZ is usually only about a months wait for the interview and we know of several couples who have had that expedited. I can only imagine Russell will be on the phone with them every day as he's just sitting there waiting for that &$^*$ stamp that will allow him to come back home to me. Looking at March filers, it was about 8 weeks to approval from those touches, which would put us at about July 11th (i think). Timeline says July 19th now! Yet, we're down to 90 on Igor's list. I know that it all means very little in the big scheme of things but I need to be doing something at this point...and i'll take ANYTHING to help keep me going! My love is having a difficult time so I need to stay strong! Guara, we have the same NOA1 date! A former adjuticator posted that they go by the received date...which for both of us is about mid April. It's good to know they're working 7 days a week. Hopefully it's not much longer for any of us. I do hope the approvals we see this week are a sign that it's picking up again. HiTech posted these stats yesterday on the percentage of VJ approvals for each week since April 1st. I have no idea how accurate they are as I haven't checked them personally but he seems like a numbers guy so here you go... 4/1/2008 6.10% 4/8/2008 7.32% 4/15/2008 9.76% 4/22/2008 13.41% 4/29/2008 24.39% 5/6/2008 31.71% 5/13/2008 37.80% 5/20/2008 40.24% 5/27/2008 50.00% 6/3/2008 59.76% 6/10/2008 63.41% 6/17/2008 68.29% It shows the slow down as we've all experienced it but it also shows that things have steadily sped up. Best to check with others who have dealt with that Consulate. I'm pretty sure the evidence of engagmement is your ongoing relationship proof. Not everyone wears an engagement ring. Only called because my honey is not quite as patient as I. I could tell that the woman who answered the phone at the NVC was genuinely happy for us... so excited "we just got your number today!"... "good luck to you guys"... very sweet. And what a difference from USCIS!!! Everything just feels so good now... a extra bounce in my step and a stupid grin on my face! I can't wait for the rest of you good people to join us at this level!!!! Suzy, (we say 'guys' too )...n how you doin?? I think Luis is going to love it here... simply because you're here! It's a lot like that in NZ too.... just laid back and surrounded with lush tropical beauty. *sigh* I used to think 'wow..he's leaving all of this for me'...still do sometimes. But, because he was here for over a year I already know that he loves it here too... its much different but still lovely in other ways. I think it really has a lot to do with the people that I am surrounded by ..family and friends. Our plans are to be in NZ as much as we can and perhaps some day even have a home there as well. No matter where you are, somehow, when you are in the arms of your true love... you are home. It will be glorious for you both, i'm sure.
