My husband's lawyer is expecting the NOA2 (approval) to come sometime on 1st or 2nd week of May... that i really don't know 'coz it depends with NVC currently handling our case, Vermont is aso sloooowwww.... but we are hoping it will come soon! I found out I had a RFE after I called the automated line and heard "..reviewed document and found info missing or incomplete..." I called late one night and spoke with an operator and was told Quest #20 was incomplete. I looked over my copy and saw the error. I was in shock, I almost cried, so mad at myself. It was then I was also told about the new requirement that 2 passport pics should also be submitted with the DS-230. Else I would have gotten another RFE mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

If you made copies of the forms you submitted with any enclosures, go over them and if it does not pop out at you, call and try to speak with an operator and they should be able to tell you. Make sure you have extra pics.

Once the NVC system shows that it has received your AOS fee, it will generate the AOS/I-864 itself. (This may take anywhere from up to a month after you send the fee in.) Note, however, that neither the processing of the AOS fee nor the generation of the I-864 is reflected on the IVR -- you actually have to ask an operator.

Neither the processing of the AOS payment nor the generation of the I-864 can be confirmed via the Automated Voice Response Service.

Somehow, both my lawyer and I missed doing the DS-260.  I happened to find out about it just yesterday, and aim to complete it tomorrow.  I see that it mentions sending some documents to the NVC.  My wife's interview is in 2 weeks.  Has anyone else completed the DS-260 that close to the interview date and still been approved for their visa at the interview??

K3 is obsolete.  Your i130 will be processed stand-alone.  Your wife will be under the IR1/CR1 category.

 

If you are a US citizen, your son may get US citizenship and a US passport as well.  You need to file a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA) at the US Embassy in Manila.

Your mother filed the petition for your dad in 2004?  Its been a long time since your priority date, your dad should have been issued a visa already.  Was your mom a green card holder or a US citizen when she filed the petition?  It seems they have missed the letters/notices from USCIS and/or NVC.

 

What did your mom say about this?  Usually, the petitioner gets the notices, unless your mom moved/changed address and did not inform USCIS or NVC.

 

You should contact the National Visa Center (NVC) and inquire about the status of your petition.
