Hello Everyone!

I'm planning to fly back to cebu by April for my brother's wedding. I've read somewhere that the immigration officer will unstaple the I-94(departure). What happens when i come back? I haven't sent my AOS yet. I hope someone can help me clear up my mind. I've been looking for some answers and i had no luck. blink.gif

Thanks!!! Salamat Po! good.gif

Did you apply for Advance Parole? If you did, that's your ticket to go out of the country and come back. You will also need a copy of your marriage certificate to go along with your travel documents. If you don't have AP and your AOS is not approved yet, don't leave the country because K1 visa is one-time entry.

a K-3 Visa is a multiple entry Visa. you'll be ok. good.gif

On February 12, we will be departing to the US. What should we expect once we get to our POE in Detroit and what documents will they ask for?

Also, her parents and her brother will apply for a tourist visa after we leave and we know that they have a pretty good chance of getting it since their only reason to go is to witness their ONLY daughter's wedding. Besides the wedding invitation and a copy of Faith's visa, what else should we provide them for their interview? Thank you.

Sincerely,

Kits & Faith

They have to provide a lot of documentations and proves that they are coming back and are not going to stay with your fiance there in US. A good way for them to prove they are coming back is showing the following at the interview.

Bank letter with the a good amount of money in it. Better if it is an old account, not a new one because they are going to know it was open with the purpose of going to the Consulate.

Land or house titles if they have some property in their country

Car titles if they have

Employment Letter

Birth Certificate showing that they are the parents of her

Her documents that you mentioned.

The fact that she is going to get married doesn´t mean an approval for getting a visa.

Good luck good.gif

good suggestions. good.gif

documents at the POE will be passport with visa, the brown envelope. I-94 and customs declaration will be given to your fiance and filled out on the flight to USA.

dont mean to rain on your parade, but the reason and evidence you mentioned for the relatives to obtain tourist visas probably will not carry much weight with the CO. he will want to see evidence they have significant ties to the Philippines. it's worth a try, but it's not as certain as you may feel.

PhilippinesHow to file 2007 ITR for K3
you would have needed an ITIN to use you on his 2007 Return to file jointly. that can be obtained by filing a W-7.
http://www.irs.gov/i...d=96287,00.html
since your interview is March 6, dont know if there would be time to obtain one now. I wouldn't worry, I don't think the 2007 Returns are required yet for interviews in March, since the deadline for filing 2007 Returns is April 15th. If you want to have documentation of his 2007 income for your interview, I think having the W-2 without the 2007 Return would be fine.
bset of luck with your interview good.gif

thanks nikmia and Roy, yazi. I have my mother's maiden name on that part...

But the thing is, I got N/A on #3 that asks about my name in native alphabet [as filled up by our lawyer! (I hope our lawyer don't know this site, or she will really discover that I don't entirely trust her! laughing.gif )

Will I have to print another 157 and write my Full name on that part(my name in english alphabet)? tongue_ss.gif

Thanks alot and sorry for being so inquisitive (and mostly to questions with obvious answers! ohmy.gif ). I just want these things done as accurately as possible. Thanks a lot VJ family.....

maybe we can send a link to VJ's Example Forms to your lawyer. laughing.gif if it was me, I'd just white out the N/A entered by the lawyer and hand write full name in English Alphabet in space #3. I don't know if having N/A in that space will matter or not. we''ll see what others think.

When my fiancee goes for her interview will they ask her for any documents that we mailed to the USIC to gain approval or does the embassy already have copies of these documents?

She has all my tax; financial and employment information along with her forms.

My Attorney handled it up to this point but now has been silent (more about that later when this is over) and has not finished what he stated he would,,,,maybe "yet" to his benefit. However we are one week away from the interview and I now need to double check for ourselves.

Hope we are ready!

Thanks

the Embassy will have the physical petition you submitted to USCIS. does your fiance have evidence of ongoing relationship? phone records, chat logs, etc....

yes.. but my question is, does everybody needs to pay that? even my documents are not late registered?

It looks to me as if the fee is 650 PHP per person.

In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is P650 per applicant. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please click here. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application.

here the link. http://usembassy.sta...a/wwwh3023.html

It's on the Immigrant's Visa information page.

I have not read anything in his post to suggest illegal activity, only that she worked in a bar and the insinuation that may be associated with it by those reviewing the petition and subsequest interview.
If I'm reading his post correctly, he is asking should he embellish her work history.

Although I do not have experience in this area, if I were filling in her work history...

She is a waitress or hostess and use the corporate name of the orgainization which owns the bar.

agree, the concern here is if there's guilt by association. If an answer can not be found here, there are other Philippine specific forums that the Op can join. hopefully someone with similar situation can give the OP some suggestions.

After five months of of getting papers together and then the money, I finally sent out my i-130 petition papers for my wife and kid. Now the long wait. I hope I don't get a rejection. My only concern would be on the g325-a papers for my relatives. There were a couple of places that I had to use white out. This is before I was told that any mistakes had to be scratched with a line through it instead. I wasn't trying to cover anything up, just a typo error. Anyone else had any problems with these people for this? That would be a major hassle to go and send a new set of papers to the philippines again to have them signed. We will see.

I tried to send them UPS, and they said they couldn't send to a P.O. BOX address. So I had to send them express through the U.S. Postal Service using overnight express.

So the next step is I guess I will here from the UCIS in about 6 weeks?
martinbr

I made a couple of corrections with white out to my then fiance's G-325a. I didn't have any problems.

best of luck with the process good.gif

mental issues are not an automatic denial of a visa. this is a different situation from the admiitted use of drugs. the doctor could order a pysch evaluation from the physical scars which appear to have been caused by an attempted suicide. you mention that you plan to take the medical next week and your timeline shows an interview date of April 4th. If a pysch evaluation is ordered, hopefully it can be finished before your interview date.
I know the interview process is stressfull enough, without this also weighing on your mind. don't worry, it can be overcome.

just needs to be notarized by a certified Notary Public, it doesn't need to be a lawyer.
