There is no need to have a covering letter notarized. It is not part of the official documentation.

i know that cover letter does not have to be notarized, however i was told that would be a very good idea that would certify that the notary has seen the originals.

I think that guy was in Central America, though. Nonetheless, I think others have said that drug testing is part of the exam. Since you are just now putting in your I-130, now would be the time to go dry out a bit; maybe there is enough time between now and the medical exam to get a good clean bill of health.

Although you see at lot of weed smokers in Jamaica, it is very illegal in Jamaica. Your husband will also be going to a US Consulate...just happens to be stationed in Kingston. Please tell your husband that no MATTER what...he has never touched the stuff...if they trip him up or find out that he has indeed used recently it is an automatic 3 year ban with no waiver. There are a couple of yardies here that are dealing with this issue right now.

Oh Mrs.Hamilton...I pray this does not hurt you at the interview. From what I have seen/read here they do not tell you at the medical...they will wait until the interview to tell you that he has a ban for three years just from admitting to using in the past...even with a clean test. One yardie woman said her man admitted to using over 7 years or something like that...and he got banned for 3 years. It was really sad. was a possibility she would have to have a sputum culture performed at her medical. The doctor administered the TB test on friday
and asked her to return the following Monday (today; NOW).

Her skin test result was positive. We're now waiting for the doctor to give us more information and/or order chest xrays.

Please remember us in ur prayers...

He also informed me that there were no more interview slots available for the Kingston Embassy for Sept, and that they begin scheduling interviews the 2nd week of each month. So clearly, I'm going to start bugging them the 1st week of the month because I want an interview in early October! QUOTE (Magicfn1 @ Aug 15 2009, 02:46 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
So we're just starting the paperwork for our packet and everything we see online about the G-325a is that we have to fill it out 4 times each. I know the old G-325 came with 5 pages total (including the "Instructions" page) but the new G-325A only comes with 2 (including "Instructions" page). Do we both just fill out 1 each? Is this something new?

I just assembled my packet and was told by USCIS call center to use old G-325a rev 07/14/06 because the new form should be 4 pages also, but there is something wrong with the new form it does not have room to fill in all your info either, i got the old form from this site below and just changed the info on it.

congrats on the approval kicking.gif good.gif and USCIS and NVC are two different steps once your packet gets to NVC they will request supporting documents if needed or they will ask your loved one at their interview, so don't sweat it, at least you jumped the first hurdle yes.gif i know you have to have sent the required info( birth certificate, g325a, passport photo, ect) but only provide what they ask for they will let you know if they need more.

We've been together close to 5 years now and know each other like the back of our own hand. Faults, habits, the good and bad. Long distance forces you to talk and talk and talk and talk so instead of being distracted by the in-person physicality, there is plenty of time to explore and discover the mind and emotions behind a person. That's one advantage long distance relationships have over in-person relationships at the courting stage.
