K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresCan AnyOne Help?

The sad part is ITS GETTING WORSE!! NO one in gov seems to be hearing our pleas for HELP!! SO WHAT DO WE DO?

I completely sympathize with your frustrations and anger!! And I have no clue as to why CSC is processing or not-processing petitions in the order that they are ......
That said, I would definitely recommend writing a letter to your Senator asap and asking to his/her office to make an inquiry into your case and either 1) push it along, or 2) get answers.

Best of luck to you, and try to hang in there just a little longer ..... it can't possible be much longer.

Been there done that and never received any response at all. I have heard through grapevines that even the inquiries in to immigration are not being done either. This seems to be a very hot topic right now at our borders and no one wants to touch the subject or dont want to rock the boat bec someone in GOV cant make up their minds on a solution.

I obviously have not waited anywhere near as long as you two have, but I really do understand how you are feeling. It actually does seem to be getting better at CSC and many who are now receiving approvals are not getting any touches at all. Hang on a bit longer and you will likely be rewarded. Older cases are being cleared out and fresher cases being approved with what for CSC passes for lightening speed!

I think it would be a huge mistake for you to go to her country and get married at this point unless you plan to live out your lives there. You would need to trash your K-1 application and file for K-3 and those take even longer to get approved. If you can wait out the approval process while staying with her, that would probably make the wait more tolerable, and go for it if you can!

Definately sucks that there appears to be no rhyme or reason for the way in which cases are processed but you have waited so long it would be a shame to give up now.

I agree it would be a bad thing to give up now when we have come soo far. I have NO intentions of doing that. I am just looking for solutions, and no matter what I have tried nothing sems to work. I have been keeping up with the working of the immigration problems and its inner workings, and its very disheartening, there is soo much corruption and laxness, that its really frightening. The reprocussions are all that are honest and trying to do things correctly are the ones that are having to pay the price for such circumstances

Can anyone help? :help: We have received our first notice of action but we cannot track the I 129F forms at the Texas Service Center where we filed our application to estimate how long the wait will be from here. Are they sending them to another Service Center?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresGetting married before entering the US?

On average how long does it take from filing the AOS until getting the advance parole?

I believe it usually takes two to three months (althought I may be confusing it with something else) to recieve permission after filing for it. It's not related to the AOS, nor is it something that is automatically granted after a period of time. You have to specifically file for it.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresFinally some movement (June 13 NOA1)
My petition hadn't been touched since June 30th and today I checked. I got touched and the notification that an RFE has been sent. More than likely the IMBRA. It's about time.

Hopefully it will go more quickly now.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOld Documents and Pictures
Thanks again!
My G325A form is realllly old - from 2000 so now I realize that I can't use it. The I-129F I also caught today thanks to these postings on VJ. I called my fiance and told him and of course he's disappointed too because now it will take us longer, but at least I caught it before I mailed everything out.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOld Documents and Pictures
We have emails, letters, hotel receipts, movie tickets...etc.
I lived in Brasil and then went back to see him twice so I have the visa, stamps in my passport, flight tickets, etc.
We have copies of calling cards, a few pictures of presents, phone bills, etc.
Should I only send 5 pictures then?

Also, the G325A form Eliton signed is outdated. He needs to sign the most recent one, correct?
Vc eh brasileira?

Thanks so much!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresOld Documents and Pictures
[b]Hi Everyone!
This is my first time posting here.
I was looking over some topics and found one that said to be careful with the documents I-129F and G325A because if the documents are outdated - from before 2006 - then they can't be used. I'm really frustrated because I was going to send out my application to the Texas center tomorrow and now I think I will have to have my fiance print out new forms and sign and mail. Is this correct? I thought I had just recieved the final signed letter by him as of yesterday.
The G325A documents he signed were good only until 12/31/05.
I'm afraid our petition could be rejected or sent back to us because of this reason.
I shouldn't take the chance, should I? :crying:

Also, do you think that 15 pictures are too many?
Thanks so much!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many letters of certificaiton of translation?
I understand what you mean by less is more but then I read on this website that there is no minimum to what you send...the more you send can mean the less chance you have of an RFE.
So these mixed signals confuse me.
I wasn't going to send a bunch of emails nor a dozen pictures, but a little bit of each.

I just read this:

Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present.

That is why I plan on sending phone bills and emails.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many letters of certificaiton of translation?
OK, I already have those letters of intent printed and signed by my fiance and I.
Are you saying that you don't think I need to send emails, phone bills, etc. showing that we communicate?

I appreciate your help.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many letters of certificaiton of translation?
Ok, the girl who translated them for me said I should do that too. There will be so many pages to this and I'm trying to make this as organized and neat as possible.
But I guess it's better to be safe than sorry...right?
I have a lot of proof that we've met because we met while I was living in Brasil and I've been back twice. we have flight coupons and I have visas and passport stamps, my certificate that I worked there, pictures, etc.
But I know we also have to show that we have an ongoing relationship, that is why I'm enclosing emails and letters.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many letters of certificaiton of translation?
Thanks for the quick response.
I thought I had everything together and now it seems this part could be incomplete...

I have that exact sentence for the translator to sign and I have it on a separate sheet of paper stating that all of the translations that were done - that are attached - were translated by her and she is competent...etc. I just want to know do I need to write that on the bottom of each translated email or can I just have one letter for all of them.

The letters and emails are proof of an ongoing relationship...that is why I've included them. Emails where we talked about marriage and a birthday card I sent him while we were apart.
This is all to show proof of ongoing relationship.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow many letters of certificaiton of translation?
Hey
I have a question...

I have 5 emails and 2 letters in portugues that a friend has translated for me and that I will send along with the I-129F form and additional documents.
Can I send only one letter of certification by translator stating that she is capable of translating which would cover all 7 translations...or do I need a letter of certification by translator for each email/letter? It seems like a waste to write the same thing 7 times. But the girl who is doing it for me is sure we need to do it that way... Can you help me out please? I want to do this right but I don't want to waste paper.
Thanks so much!

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresWhere do I even start
Hi,
I am brand new to this site, and to this whole process. I am marrying a man from Egypt, in August, I am flying over there. What do we need to do. I am completely overwhelmed with all the rules and regulations. I am an American. Mohamed was a captain in the police force for 13 years, and quit his job in order to marry me, since he could not leave Egypt as a police officer. No pressure there  , I am flying over there to meet his mother, since he is the only son, his father has been passed away for years. He has no other brothers or sisters, and really was not interested in living in America. The only reason he will live here is for me. He loved his job, and his life so he wasn't looking for a job or a green card. I have heard this so often from so many people. My first question is, what should we do in order for him to come home with me. He has a uncle who works in Cairo for the FBI, and we are working with him in order to get through the red tape. But I am really feeling helpless. If you all have any suggestions, especially for him, something that is in at least arabic, since his english is not the best. He is in english class at the moment to learn to speak and write better. Any help or advice or even share your experiences with me would be wonderful.
Thanks
Freaking out here in Florida

I was approved yesterday on day 180, and my notice date told me processing times were 90-120 if this helps you guys any. Some have to wait 90 days, some have to wait 120 and then some have to wait 180 to 190. There is no rhyme or reason to how their system works either. It really sux sometimes. Welcome to VJ, the middle initial is ok, mine my fiance has a middle name also, and they just used the initial. As for the status date, that date will change on a regular basis. Each time USCIS looks at your case, or does something on your case , that case status date will change, or maybe we are not talking about the same date? I hope this helps.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresTouched ? Any Explanation ?

Hello People,

I am new to this site, but have noticed many times the mention of "Touched"

I have not seen anywhere that this is mentioned in INS, NVC or DOS Sites Can anyone PLEASE Explain this to me, I know we can all have a quick laugh and say we will feel "Touched" in the head before finishing this process, but It would be nice to hear some explaination of the use of the term and where everyone has been finding this.

Thanks
Henry

The term "touched" is used when the status date changes on your case status online. It usually means someone at USCIS has done something to your case, or has looked at it. You don't always get an email when you are touched though, you only get an email if the actual status of the case changes. They can touch you case all the time without the status of the case changing, just the .
status date changes, meaning someone has been looking at it or doing something with in. Hope this helps
