K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	If I met my Fiancee 5 years ago is that a problem?	when reading the forms (i.e. the I-129F) they alawys say things like these: 18. Has your fiancé(e) met and seen you within the two-year period immediately receding the filing of this petition? B. You and your fiancé(e) intend to marry within 90 daysof your fiancé(e) entering the United States, and areboth free to marry, and have met in person within twoyears before your filing of this petition unless: DOES THAT MEAN THAT IF WE MET FIVE YEARS AGO WE ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THE K1 VISA? EVEN IF I HAVE PROOF THAT WE HAVE BEEN TOGHETHER DURING ALL THIS TIME? PLEASE SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT TO DO COUSE Y REALLY WANT MY BABY WITH ME. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Sorry, just venting	No, in fact I read up on the posts and knew that the CSC was terrible, so even though I was supposed to file with them, I said screw that and demanded that the VSC handle my case...after all...I'm a USC and deserve better treatment than this! I just gave them my phone number to call in case there was any problems with either that or not being "completely" divorced yet...the director called me yesterday and it's all good..I am a USC after all! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Sorry, just venting	I'm on my 7th month mark and I have no problem with people posting their own threads about their approvals. I am happy to see someone get approved... so they can continue their lives. I dont have the misery loves company mentality. I am not frustrated at the people, I am frustrated at USCIS. I agree, I waited 6 months for mine, but I don't feel as if someone else should not be happy and should not post their happiness just because I had to wait. That is ridiculous. We are all on this board for the same reason, some wait longer than others that is the name of the game, there is nothing we can do about it. When someone gets approved, no mattter how long they have waited, I am sure they are ecstatic, and want to share that with everyone, just like you or I would. Why should they have to consider our feelings when expressing their happiness. I'm not familiar with the K1 process, so I want to ask some stupid questions. My fiance's lawyer sent his I129F to Chicago. But I think the application should be sent to VSC rather than Chicago according to his jurisdiction. Is the address wrong? Also, I'm Chinese but currently reside in Canada. If the petition is approved, will I be interviewed in Canada or in China? Where can I find a checklist of documents needed for the interview? Thank you! Waiting for your reply. No matter where he/she lives I don't think it should have been sent to chicago. Your interview will be held in Canada, because that is your place of Residence. We started the process by mailing our petition on 3/22 and he received the visa about 6 yesterday. We had our moments of drama but a little shy of 4 months is pretty good.
