JG -- it will come rofl.gif ... I wan to go to St. Barts for our honeymoon (but that's nowhere in the future).

Hopefully we'll have one next year. I'm thinking maybe a cruise.

Ladies just a thought, why don't you'll plan a Honeymoon cruise for a future date, that way all VJ's who wants to go can go on this cruise together and can meet up with those who you might not other wise meet. A future date can be 1 to 3 years from now. If you start the planning now with an possible venue for the cruise you might get a lot of Vj's who would like to join in. Just a thought.

Sounds great. I wish you all well.

I think by the time we pay for all the immigration fees to bring our SOs home we have blew what normal couples spend on wedding and honeymoon. It's worth it!

I think that too. It's just that I went from travelling all the time to travelling just once a year and always domestic. It was a difficult transition.

Thank you all for your presence on here, it helps so many people in so many unnoticed way.

Hello KIMCORENE,

Yes, this can be very stressful at times, but it is good to be able to vent or cry with those who have gone before you down this road, or thise who are on the same visa bus you are on. I was thinking the other day, we ladies have this venue here to assist us on dbad/good days. What do our SO have for those good/bad days. I personally think we ( all VJ participates) should all use one long distance carrier, buy their stock and pay ourselves back.

Honeychild, I am so sorry I missed the party last night. It seems you got it started and your picks of music was great. I spent hous last night looking at the youtube sites that you'll had picked. The Africian Queen song is our song as well. That song was playing at a function, when Joe and I first met.

Maybe we can have a part II, and as Sunny suggested we should start a new thread with songs and pictures to keep the memories fresh. good.gif

Question,

The dating part of our relationship took place here in the USA, how do I document that part of the relationship. We don't have receipts for the first nine months of our relationship. We lived together for two of the nine months, but there was nothing in his name. When I filed his taxes for last year, we did use my address as his mailing address, I guess that is good. We will have phone call logs that our relationship continued after he went back to JA. Then we got married in JA.

She forgave him once, because it she said she didn't know what else to do...but NOT THIS TIME. I think he more than hurt her...he hurt the entire family hers and his own.

So Roxie; this is the second time around. Her sisters said she was hurt so bad the last time, but she found it in her heart to forgive him.

Can I turn my house phone off? It's been ringing non-stop since I got home.

Trelawny, I'm sorry that she has experience this. Your friend has to do what right for her, none of us count . Becasue at the end of the day, it will only be her, the baby and him in the picture. Roxie/Mrs. Scott, it's not in the system as yet and I was told that they're behind processing NOA1s. At this point, we're not going to worry too much. His mom was so happy that he was leaving Jamaica to start a new life with a wonderful woman. She said noone ever tried to help her son to better himself. She just wanted the best for us. She also told us not to let family or friends change our relationship.

He thanks all of you for the prayers and the support.

If Marcel is unable to attend, they can always video tape the funeral. I am aware that that they do this in JA.
This can be one solution, I know it won't be the same as being there, but at least he can see the moment.

Trelawny, I am sorry for yours and Marcel's loss. Is the family going to have the funeral soon, because maybe the AOS will get put into the system soon, and you'll can get his AP.

Do you get to keep them? Otherwise, I don't trust them to wash them between uses.

YES, you do get to keep them, its a pillow and blanket deal, with a 2.00 coupon for Bed and Bath.

Thanks Roxcie. I appreciate it smile.gif

I couldn't have said it better, your post needs to be added a code of coduct compliance piece to the VJ thread. Some of the postings I have read on other sites makes me wonder who died and made them GOD.

Unfortunately, the answer is no, unless she had already filed the AOS papers.
The ONLY possible way I could see it happening is if she found someone who would let her hand file the AOS papers and then expedite....
Cannot see it happening any other way sad.gif

Hey Guys,

I got some very sad news from Lawny today.

Marcel's Mom passed away eithr yesterday or today. She is trying to find out if there is ANYWAY possible for him to go home to JA to attend the funeral and not have to go through the initial process of having to file a K3 or IR/CR again!

Bwoy, I really feel it for them. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE keep them in your prayers today and going forward. If anyone knows of any route they may be able to go please post and let her know.

I told her to call the 202# tomorrow and if that does not work the Dept. of Homeland Security or/and the State Dept. Someone has to have a heart to at least hear her out!

I know we all believe in the power of prayer...and I know we all know ANYTHING & EVERYTHING is possible through the Lord. So please keep Lawny & Marcel in your thoughts and prayers.

Blessed love,
Gill

JaEnglish, how does it feel to be back in the work force. Soon you will be missing those days inwhich you could just take a nap at 12:00 pm if you wanted. Or go to the store in the middle of the day when noone else was there. But its nothing like making your own spending money $$$$$. Good luck on your new jobs,

Thanks Roxcie, i will check it out. By the way, in case anyone is bored like me... there is a piece on Dateline right now about US Immigration. It is showing various POE's and how they determine who is staying and who is getting a 5 year ban. They just showed a ghanian with a fake greencard and a mexican who has entered illegally on a visitor visa one time before. It is amazing before i met D, i never gave a thought to issues concerning immigration, but now all i can think about is wanting him here with me and how much shyt we have to go thru. Im not sure what the different time zones are, but it has been on about 30 minutes on my end, in case anyone wants to check it out.

Honey, I watched the DateLine speacial aswell, now I know why custom is so hard on me when I travel to JA by myself. When my sister-in-law and I traveled together, Custom was alot friendlier. So the next time I wont be so angry at them when they act like jerks. That was an intrested piece.

The piece I wanted you to read in the Saharan thread is by Imnop123 and Asante Maroon on that page. They both wrote a good post.

Be Bless
