Philippines	Your Filipino Wife/Fiancée	I have a buddy that completely got taken beyond what I can even imagine. I don't know how it happened as I he's not a close friend or anything. He did a lot of things on his part though that were very questionable. Needless to say he ended up finally getting his wife here. She got pregnant, had the baby, and moved back to Phils. I had heard many stories and just know how things work and the opportunity to get taken is clearly there with things like this a bit more than normal. All that being said, I never really thought about May doing anything remotely close to anything devious or having any alterior motives AT ALL. She comes from a pretty well off family there. She had a decent job of course friends and the whole thing I can't even get her to tell me when she needs something as it is =/ which really bugs me. I mean I understand from the culture and such that she may feel a little embarrassed or shy but I have to keep reminding her that we are way beyond that point with things. Nearly 4 years since we started talking and it has never crossed my mind that she has any hidden agenda or intentions. Now if USCIS would just hurry up so we can actually start our life together! I don't know which state are you in right now but try calling: Atlas Shippers Intl Covina, CA 480-610-4687 The cost is 115 dollars for macho box (24x18x24), 95 dollars for regular box (20x17x22). Philippines	social security card	Charlie, I suggest you get it after your wedding or at least when you have your certified copy of marriage certificate handy, UNLESS Pam needs it right now for like opening bank accounts, or any transactions you plan on doing that need an SSN card from her. Anyway, you will do another trip once she has her GC because she will change the card to her married name. Same goes with state ID/driver's license. Well that's what I did and so far I think it didn't make any difference had I got mine before the wedding. But let's see other comments from other people on what route they took. Philippines	for the men with kids from an ex wife!!!!!	Hi guys.....so I know I am not alone on this topic...but lets share stories and how do deal with the DREADED EX-WIFE syndrome!!!! Since Pam has gotten here it has been harder and harded to deal with her (I assume it is all because of jealousy) .......She says lies to the kids, did the whole mail order bride thing to my friends and family, and also has just been un-real to deal with since she found out that we are getting married!!!!......plus I know it must kill her that the kids love Pam and give her a hug and kiss when she comes to see the kids and take them out!!!!!....but the past week has been getting more stressfull!!!!!.......her mom who loves me to death watches my 3 year old daughter durring the day and when I picked her up Friday she asked me if her and her hubby could come to the wedding....I responded that I will talk to Pam and also she should talk to my ex because I dont want to get inbetween the mother/daughter relationship and have them argue!!!!....well I guess over the weekend they did argue when she brought it up and now the ex is being a real b*tc&!!!! as of last night she called and asked if my daughter could spend more time with her grandmom (didn't ask kind of demanded it)....just trying to get other opinions on this ....also I have a son who is 6 but the family doesn't want to see him more? At the end of the day, you both know what kind of relationship you have. She is no doubt jealous - of the fact that you are happy with someone else, and knowing and seeing that you can still be happy after she wrecked your marriage. And she probably is living a miserable life at the moment. Don't share any kind of information to her about you and Pam and your plans and all because you know what, she is an EX. That means " without, not including, or without the right to have". I think too she wants your kids regular at your house well probably because she wants to fish info about your whereabouts through your babies. And as a dad to them, you don't say NO to that after all, your kids are stress-relievers ya know! Kids are kids. Their innocence make them adore anyone who showers them with loves, kisses and cookies! Sadly, people take advantage of their innocence too. And that's what your ex wife is doing. IMO. If it's tough for you, it's as tough as for Pam for sure. But I know you will get through this in time and live a peaceful and stress-free life like the kind that we all love to have. As for the bipolar thing, believe me... if this same thing happened in the Philippines, nobody here would even suggest anything like this. She might be depressed, she might have some issues but bipolar is too much jumping to conclusion. I hate it when people starts to accuse other people about mental illness - mental illness should not be taken lightly or suggested at every turn. Philippines	Medical today at St Luke's	Yeah I sent a bunch of stuff to her this last friday. She should get it by the end of next week hopefully. Just the I-864 and tax transcripts mostly. Mhay will do just fine. She was talking to someone at St. Lukes that had their interview already and had to do something with medical again....I dunno, but they told her that the interview wasnt that bad..only 15 mins or so. My interview last Oct 2009 only took 3 minutes from the pre-screener and 3 minutes from the final interviewer, though I was at the embassy from 530am - 830am. Philippines	Vermont Filers?	Go by the date they received your request. I filed April 7 and recieved a request for info 5/29/07 sent everything back the next day. I thought I forgot something it was just the Nisi Dovorce I sent not the Certificate of Absolute divorce. Philippines	How to Answer Medical Exam Questions	So that being said you fall in love which most of us do by fate and after having a relationship for a while and meeting and deciding you are going through this process to be with each other for a lifetime all of a sudden this question comes up now let me first explain I have never ever in my life tried or used drugs and my fiancee never has. I am just posing a question to everyone here on VJ. Based on what happend to one of our members Yesterday I thought we should open up a discussion about it. Her answering yes to using drugs I am sure she didn't know it would end in a denial and possibly permanant ban yes telling the truth was the right thing to do. Philippines	How to Answer Medical Exam Questions	Let me put it to you this way if you knew that you tried drugs 10 years ago and was clean every since would you even bother meeting someone in the US knowing that the question on the medical was have you ever tried drugs? And you knew it would result in a permanant ban and denial at the embassy. Or would you take your chances knowing they would never find out unless you answered yes to the question, and in that case you would be denied anyways. I think most of us know what we would do.
