PhilippinesI need help I'm new to all of this of course ;)

Ten days is impossible because it takes 10 days the waiting period for the registration of marriage license. First you need to get a cenomar for you and your fiance at the NSO. You can get a cenomar for your fiance even without his presence, Just write his parents name, their wedding place and date and your fiance's dob and birth place. To get a cenomar it takes 7 days. Also he has to go to the embassy to get the Legal Capacity To Marry. The requirements for registration of marriage license are birth certifate, passport of your fiance, NSO cenomar for both, Fiance's Legal Capacity To Marry from US embassy, and seminar for family planning and guidance and counseling it only takes one day. Hi should have a divorced decree if he's divorced.

Thanks a lot :)

Hello, could someone help me please, need some advice or infos. about marriage license and getting married in Philippines, my fianceè is only having a 10 days vacation and we really wanted to get everything done, can we manage to finish all the licensing and getting married with a very short period of time? And can I process the license before he comes so it'll be just the solemnization?, I'm from a province but can we also do the licensing in Manila? Thank you in advance and looking forward to all the replies. God bless everyone. :)

PhilippinesWrong middle name. Is RFE on its way already?

In the US, the middle name is the 2nd of the 1st name, not like in Philippines, 2nd name is Mother's name so you're good.

I meant middle name in the Phils.

Thanks for the info. and hopefully in time I'll learn more about about every thing I need to know.

PhilippinesWrong middle name. Is RFE on its way already?

I don't think they'll send an RFE for that, but if they do simply correct it and send it back

If they don't (which I made MANY mistakes in my initial petition) simply correct the mistake on the DS-230 and that'll be it, a note of it at NVC and the consulate should be done to ensure the visa is issued in the proper name however

Good luck

PhilippinesJune interview schedule

The story we got was that NVC schedules for Manila the second week of the month for interviews to follow. So if your case was closed the second week, you should get an interview date given to you almost immediately. Likewise you'd have to wait a while to get a date assigned if you completed any other time of the month. Just keep in close contact with NVC when they close your case, polite but persistent!!!

Bob

PhilippinesNBI Clearance: Manila?
I've read about the news and the cause of delays releasing clearances and we're not to be alarm. For what I've read it clearly state that Mega Data Corp. NBI's technology partner pulled all of it's hardware and software equipment on June 30 because of expired contract between the two agencies. So, because of their new system that causes the long lines on every Manila NBI offices, and it was stated their that other LGU's operate as well. But, it's always better to check on local units near you to be sure of. And the director said it won't take long to be able to operate the system smoothly. That I hope so.. Good luck every one.

Philippinesonline registration at st luke's clinic-is this secured?
Thank God I had my walk-in medical exam last Aug. 22 around 2:15pm, had no problem and went back 2pm for the 2nd day for immunization and result, SLEC told me they'll be forwarding my medical result to USEM and they just gave my chest x-ray cd, copy of my immunization paper and the receipt too ^_^ it's a first come first serve basis, even if you have appointment you'll be attended just like the rest of the applicants, you need to fall in line and wait for your turn. But, it's good if you don't have to fill up forms @ the SLEC yeah it's saves some time. God bless and Good luck

PhilippinesThose with CR-1 visa

Has anyone else get a 1st time immigrant fare with a CR-1 visa.

I called some of agencies that was listed on DOT as an accredited agency and yeah they give discount for first time immigrants the lowest price I got was 629$ from Manila-Vancouver-Vegas via PAL. They only need your passport to see the visa stamp. And that I wonder how will I buy my ticket earlier for much better ticket price if I can only have my passport on hand after consulate/2Go delivers it. Good luck everyone :innocent:

Check PTAA (Philippine Travel Agency Association) for accredited agencies here in PI, it's difficult to navigate the site of IATA(International Air Transport Assoc.)only members can access it further. So I went to PTAA website instead coz it's AITA member also and there I saw lists of accredited agencies here in Philippines. hmm.. Hello rhenzhen,

Now, I'm planning to go to Manila for the CFO sticker and go to Reli tours. I already reserve my slot for the date I'll be leaving. I'll be traveling via PAL MNL-YVR-LAS for 620$ with first time immigrant discount including travel tax (1,620php)and of course except terminal fee which is 750php. Agencies need a photocopy of visa in her passport. She can not avail the discount without it. Good luck. :innocent:

PhilippinesBooking A Room In Manila For Interview,Medical

Hi, if you want you can book her at Casa Bocobo at Ermita near St. Luke. We just called them and we were already booked for a week this coming October in time for our medical and interview. They don't ask for advance payment but requires full payment upon check-in. The CP # 0917-5538968, look for Ms. Rose. The website is www.casabocobo.com. Haven't stayed yet but seems nice looking hotel. We were able to avail discounted price too. Good luck ! :)

I agree it's a nice hotel. I stayed there for my medical and interview, clean and nice breakfast buffet, nice staff, quite, near SLEC and to USEM as well. I did my reservation using my eon card(union bank) through hotels.com which my husband suggested me to do, so it was easy for me.

You know, after thinking about this some more, I really think it was wrong to not pay the taxi driver. First, the directions given to him weren't the best possible directions. Why not give the address instead of saying St. Mary's when the place is really Good Shepherd? You said St. Mary's on Aurora and he took you to St. Mary's off Aurora. Seriously? You're angry at this guy for that little bit of miscommunication? It's not like it was only your time that was wasted. He wasted his time and his chances to make some money that he probably needs a lot more than you do. I really think you should have paid him for his efforts.

Ohh... :(

Why didn't you simply ask the taxi driver to take you to an easy-to-find major landmark? Katipunan LRT station is right next door to St. Mary's. The map is right there on the website.

Sheesh...

Lols, they're not from the area so they don't know about it hmm.. but come to think of it, it was also illustrated and LRT Katipunan station is given as a landmark on SMEF-COW website/CFO website, chill guys, you can make it.
